As a Transport Manager, I would say this: You don't bulid airports just for your community to be among the league of communities with airports. It's a waste of the scarse resources. Where's the traffic gonna come from? How many people from Anambra are financially buoyant to board a flight? Are there Foreign Direct Investments in Anambra to drive traffic to the airport? The answer to all these questions is NO. It would have been better for the Government to use the Billions of Naira on this airport to drive FDI in the state before thinking about this. We have a lot of these aerodromes in the country, but they are not serving their purpose, because of lack of cost benefit analysis.
Its clearly show your brain is empty, Anambra is not your poverty state, go and more research about the state

FACT!! More than 80% of the oil in Rivers state lies in Igbo territory. Over 60% of oil money in Delta state lies in Igbo territory. Over 20% in Akwa Ibom and Cross River states. Forget about Gowon boundary creation, once the referendum is finally called for all Biafrans to vote to either belong/join Biafra or leave, the natural boundary of Igbo people will fall in place.

May I also remind you that the oil reserves in Igbo hinterlands are far much bigger than those already been explored in Igbo ceded territories to other states by your rogue state of nigeria. We have oil reserves in Ebonyi, Imo, Anambra, Abia, and Enugu states which are yet to be exploited and will be explored after the restoration of Biafra.

Lagos state as the largest tax earning state for your nigeria is because of money from Igbo businesses. TinCan and Apapa seaports as the largest foreign exchange earner after oil for your nigeria handles over 80% of Igbo goods out of 100% of goods that pass through it into your country nigeria.

Most of the people that use your MMAiport Lagos, both passengers and for cargoes are Igbo people and over 80% of MMA's revenue comes from Igbo people. After Biafra is restored, all this money will be channeled to our nation and will be beneficial only to our people and not to any parasitic people anywhere.

U be real ode. Which delta oil belongs to Igbo's? Oil in delta are situated in Delta south. The closest Delta cities to south east don't have oil. Please be reminded, delta state is not part of ur useless biafra OK.is better we remain in nigeria or form our own Niger Delta state

So much so for "international airport status" We Igbo people are not known to accept mediocre. Those of us shouting "international" should hide in shame. Fulanis, a set of marauding illiterate immigrants from the foothills of futa jalon are denying you the freedom to build your infrastructure the way you want, and some of you don't see anything bad about it? Yet, you call yourselves Igbos?

Our hope for world-class infrastructure ONLY lies in Biafra. It's a shame seeing the mighty and who-is-who of our people coming out to celebrate this empty shed look-alike as an achievement and a leap in development when we are sitting above trillions of dollars worth of oil reserves/money in all Igbo territories. SHAME!! SHAME!! SHAME!! to our people. Below is what our Igbo race deserves as an airport and nothing less than that. It's our oil money (80%) of oil in nigeria that is being divided amongst nigerians. Money from our land and we are cool about it? Tufiakwa!! Alu!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-_-qa7DtW4
Which oil money?
You mean the Abia's 0.68% or the Imo's 1.06%?
Or the Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa 's 80% ?? grin

It's very Ok, expansion is ongoin as of today, and they fly many routes (Abuja , Lagos , Kano, Uyo etc) almost all local careers fly in daily and Airpeace just joined... Hajj pilgrims are also been airlifted

.
I bad an airport is by far the least flown airport in southern Nigeria. Even ondo is much busier.
Do your research, I bad an has less than 3 weekly flights.
Ondo and even illorin are much busier.
Or could you name 3 airlines that fly into ibadan weekly?
Ibadan has a very long way to go when it comes to aviation. So far, that airport has been a waste of tax payers money

Congrats Anambra people... No late comers when it comes to infrastructure

Imagine Ibadan indegenes with An Airport and a Military Airstrip since over 39 years won't understand the hype of just building an Airport in the year 2021

.
So I just tried booking a flight from ibadan to abuja online. The next flight is on may 8th. It's like the airport works once in a week.
The government of ibadan should do something about it. It's very poor business. At such, the airport can't pay for maintenance.

Daily flights minimum four per day, all local careers are there , cabs and shuttles are there, the lounge was newly renovated, Hajj pilgrims and that of Jerusalem are airlifted there

.
I just checked, the next flight to abuja from ibadan is on may 8th.
It's one of the least used airport's in nigeria.
Also I could not see a flight from ibadan to lagos.
If u doubt me, try booking a flight online now and post the result

Boss I just checked now. Arik and airplane don't even have a single scheduled flight to ibadan. It's mainly small airlines like overland that goes there.
If you don't believe, I suggest you try booking a flight from ibadan airport. It's actually very hard.
Most ibadan people depend on lagos and then go the last miles by road.

Proof

I only work with evidence
I have a little evidence to support his claim. My ex girlfriend’s family operate over 70 trailers in Lagos, nothing less than 90%-95% of their incomes come from the eastern part of the country. If there’s no trip to the east, the whole family members go suffer no be small.

Well you guys are not use to standard infrastructure

I think the east needs international airport than an ordinary bus terminal. Why the jealous

No country/region/state can successfully operates on its own. The reason for an open economy. We’re all shouting restructuring and a State has started to pull the strings I think we need to applaud the gov for this.
