FG should reshuffle the entire security system to accommodate every tribe. One tribe fulani can't hold all the sensitive post in the national security and expect other tribes not to agitate. Nigeria problem does not need external help to solve it . Mr President Buhari has the solution. 1. Declare herdsmen and bandits terrorist groups and go after the criminal herdsmen. 2. Restructure all the security heads. Appoint qualified people from all the regions. 3. With immediate effect remove all the fulanis from all the armed forces. |

what I see here is a technical retreat by the police. they changed the military like man to a diplomat and administrators who will broker peace on behalf of the police behind the media through dialogue and agreements rather than guns and arrest. if not why the overhaul of almost the whole police structure in the state? I see peace soon in the Southeast. I rise |

Sisterhot: I'm from the north young woman. The Fulanis are not the only ones killing now, are they ?? And again, you lots mistake we Northerners with our neighbors a lot. Most of the bandits and haram fighters are from Niger, Mali and Chad. I don't really blame you all because of the striking resemblance between us and them. That's what Mr President was trying to explain sometime ago that some(most) of the boko haram fighters are foreigners... |

Omodua: That's what your Igbo leaders want you to believe. There was actually a religious uproar in the north but, not targeted at the Igbos( there were militant activities in the oil rich south, that we Northerners started thinking that the Southerners were fighting against Umaru Musa Yaradua). But Ojukwu saw it as an opportunity to sell his cheap propaganda. Unfortunately, Igbos bought and fed from his deceit.. If truly, we were killing Igbos, how come a lot of Igbos left the North(especially from Kano state)to honor their home call by Ojukwu?? Ojukwu was simply angry that Yakubu Gowon, his junior officer, became Head of state, instead of him. Meanwhile, the reason why Yakubu Gowon was preferred to Ojukwu, is the same reason other tribes in Nigeria are preferred to be Presidents in Nigeria than Igbos of today. As for your last paragraph, everything you mentioned would be fairly attributed to Aguiyi Ironsi, before any other leader in Nigeria... 1 Like |

Emyben: Just as I predicted.. How do you start a war, by gunshot? What about our forefathers that went to war with bows and arrows?? Ojukwu (indirectly) declared war by officially seceding from Nigeria( one good thing about the Igbos, is that, they are very smart or maybe cunning when dealing with people). Ojukwu declared war by declaring the republic of Biafra on the early hours of July, with the knowledge that the Nigerian government would retaliate. And just as predicted.. Your last sentence has all the maturity in this context.. Welcome ... |

goodnessme1: Your first question gave an answer to my assertions of the Igbos, likened to the typical Nigerian lady, thanks .. Now, no country in the world, would maintain silence, when a portion of its territory decides to secede. The federal government of Nigeria ordinarily, would have reacted to any other tribe or region of the country clamoring for secession, the same way it reacted before and now against the Igbos. So nothing spectacular about them. The south has oil(the hub of economic stability and the major financial strength and image of the country). The north has agriculture(the importance of food to every living soul, cannot be overemphasized). The west are known for arts, education and entertainment. What is east known for? If your land is that good, how come there are low visitors, compared to other tribes that play host your people? Go to Kano, Abuja, Lagos, PH, Benin city and Calabar, it is Igbos everywhere! The population of Igbos away, is much more than the ones at home.. Again, there is nothing spectacular about the Igbos, government would have reacted to any other tribe or region, just as it did to the Igbos seeking division... |

YoungLionken: You are running away from the fact. Who declared war? It’s a simple question. Nigeria did. Secession is not war. Nigeria might as well just let Biafra seceded peacefully but they declared a war. That’s my point. |

YoungLionken: It’s a Simple question and a simple answer. Who declared War? Shikena. Stop beating around the bush and sugar coating it. I’m not asking you for reasons that led to the civil war. I’m only asking ‘Who declared the war’ and History tells us that it was Gowon and his SMC that declared War. Thank you |
