Let me give you a brotherly advice, and I hope you work on it...
First of all I counsel people and I have done that on nairaland for a while... I have met great and good guys...
I dropped a story about my experience teaching in two schools as a corper and would not mind partnering with schools in abuja, but some accused me of looking for teaching job... Never ever mind what people say...
Back to the matter...
As a graduate, teaching and earning 15k, e no bad... But once you have a good (android) phone, go to any car stand of your choice around your area... Listen well, any good car stand and ask to see the manager... Tell him you want to help him market his cars and get good buyers... 90% of car stand managers will sign u on... Tel him you will be paid a small commission after sales...
Pick up your phone, snap as many cars as your phone memory can take, open a dedicated twitter ac, IG ac, Facebook ac, WhatsApp ac, ac etc... Take out time to post this cars, make sure you have the actual prices of this cars... You can add as much as #250k on it... Bring down the negotiations to as low as making #50k if need be just so I can sell. Set your monthly target... I assure you, if you get I client in a month, u make around #100,000k once you start growing, you can get as much as 5-10 client from all over the country and that hits you over #1m for just helping others sell their cars, Note all you invested was your time, energy, phone and data... No big financial capital...
Do not restrict yourself to cars, go for industrial machines as well, caterpillars, mikano gens, any thing, then you look for those big companies that need them and try to call their attention to it or market it to them... You may not sell in 3 months but when you manage to get a client to buy just 1 caterpillars, my brother you will instantly forget that u suffered before...
A friend of mine was marketing a silo for a local wielder, he received a call all the way from kebbi state, the purchase was made in Ilorin, he made #1.8 mil from buyers and #400k from seller... He still got a referral from that deal. Wake up bro...
Within a month or two, come and pay (tite).
I drive uber/bolt in abuja, market cars, sell commodities such as beans, maize, wheat, ginger, onions, name it... In bags and tonnes
And I make nothing less than half a mil monthly...

Affordable megatron 50,000mah powerbanks with 4 output units, type c and normal usb cord. payment on delivery within Lagos and Nationwide dispatch
Interesting!

If you can afford private university then school abroad
I don't know why you people think abroad fees and private universities fees are the same.
Private uni in Nigeria highest fees is about 1 million naira. Convert 1 million to pound and dollars and see if such would be enough for any school abroad. Except you mean Togo and Cameroon. Even standard universities in Ghana are expensive.

Poverty mentality.
Which work and pay??
Any country where you would work and pay your fees, the money to get there is not equivalent to any private university fees.
People going to private universities doesn't mean they have such amount of money.
Stop telling people how to spend their limited cash

Public is fine if you can work hard and have little to spare. Don't mind naysayers, 4 years is usually engineered to not really exceed four years despite all the hyped setbacks.

Private is extremely expensive - your half of one year fees in a private University can comfortably cover your whole 5 years in a federal University - but there's no debate about the timing.

If you're going for a professional course like medicine, pharmacy or other health related programs, pls go to a public university. You'll gain more knowledge and practical exposures from there.

But if you just want to go to university to acquire certificate (like many Nigerians do), then you may wanna consider a private university for a faster sail through school.

Where do you get your information from, its baffling. Afe Babalola University has one of the best medical schools in the country as we speak. Their teaching hospital is next to none.
It's always good to have good information. Regardless of where you study as a doctor, you end up writing the same qualifying exams plus if you can cram you can go through med school.
The private university graduates are the ones working in multinationals and owning the viable startups but at ht e moment.
What you do with yourself is left to you. I know people that graduated from low rated polytechnics but are doing well too.

Of all the private universities offering medicine in Nigeria, you're mentioning only Afe babalola uni? That's insignificant.

Bullshit. Absolute bullcrap.
I've studied in both public and private universities and I'd advice anyone to avoid public universities for any professional courses. So far the private is accredited.
You aren't meant to learn all in school. Basics for survival is all that's needed. We all learn on the job.
Public schools live on past glories and making lives difficult for students shouldn't be a yardstick for measuring excellence.
Almost all my seniors in private university medical schools are working abroad. Why weren't they denied the opportunity? They passed their exams!!!
Please dead this talk of public medical schools better than privates.

The truth remains what it is! I'll never refer any patient to a doctor I know that trained in a Nigerian private university! It is easy to claim that all your mates are working abroad, even if they work as healthcare assistants.
You learn on the job Why attend university in the first place My loved ones and I will not be used as lab rats by your likes.

To you, USMLE and Plab are all that matter among the the different medical exams Talk to me when you have gone through rigorous residency training and become an expert in a medical specialty, even if it is just pathology!

Smh.

I just hope you aren't a young medic. How dare you compare the useless residency in Nigeria to PLAB talk more of USMLE?

A consultant ObGYn eventually went the USMLE route and he said he had to unlearn alot of rubbish practices. He had to start learning to do things right when he got over there. Stop glorifying primaries and residency in Nigeria!!!
