Before covid that was the case

My biased opinion: October virtually

Thanks a lot boss.

I applied for both the tax position and advisory (though I prefer advisory cos that's where my interest lies). Only for me to get mail for advisory. I'm currently undergoing my MSc (about to start thesis), can this be a reason why I was shortlisted? Cos I included MSc in my CV

postte author=justbehappy post=101431704]Who needs a study partner for the next one week. We would study together preferably at night, tackling the numerical and verbal questions!! Please, send me an email via Nairaland and we connect from there. I have a lot of past questions we can tackle.

Modalities:
3-4hrs daily (Numerical 2hrs and Verbal 2hrs).
Platform - Google Meets as we would be sharing our screens while studying.
Checking up on each other and giving feedback on study methods.
Cracking many exam secrets and analyzing them holistically.
1 person, preferably a female who applied for Advisory but not limited to that, Assurance and Tax can also be picked.

PS: I applied for Advisory Services and have about 2+ years of experience in the Technology and Energy space.

Thanks so much.[/quote]

Shortlisting is quite straightforward. You applied for the position. I guess you applied for advisory first and they considered only your application for advisory. If you meet one year experience criteria then you will be fine (my opinion and based on previous years).

P.S. For those who chose assurance and tax, there is room to always move into other units like advisory. Just gather some experience in assurance/tax, opportunities will always arise within other units.

which is more marketable in advisory and assurance. I even learnt advisory is more tighter to get into. Anyone that can shed mroe light on this.

lol. PwC on your CV is gold. Experience in advisory/ assurance/tax/ internal services will open doors.

I don't think it is much more difficult to get into advisory than assurance provided you meet the requirements.
Making it to the interview is a 50-50 game( about 50% will get in). That is how good your chances are.
P.S. (My opinion)

Assurance makes more money and has way more clients than any other line of service so they need more people

Quick questions please;

Are considerations given to people with prior work experience?

Does this affect the pay scale?

What is the remuneration like?

No please, no WhatsApp groups. Let’s all assemble here, if previous years carried their interactions to a private group we wouldn’t have an insight on the recruitment process and what to expect. Let’s give future job aspirants the benefit of that.

Could you please send a link to previous thread on the recruitment stages? or highlight if you do, thanks.

There would not be a verification test this year due to COVID. In fact, PwC staff members still work from home currently. That is why the online test by SHL will be highly proctored.

After the online SHL test (proctored), we shall have the following stages:

OPQ (Online Personality Questions): This is to determine your match for the job you applied for.

Then, successful candidates from the OPQ stage will be invited for interviews which will be virtual, say zoom or Microsoft teams or Google meets.

Successful candidates from the interview are then given offers and perhaps engaged in Medicals and Orientation.

Thanks for this!

Congrats. I applied for assurance this time around, did advisory last year, got to the Personality Test stage and shot my self in the leg.

How do you mean shot yourself in the leg?
Re: Pwc Graduate Recruitment 2021 by benque: 6:40pm On May 06, 2021
So far it's a graduate trainee role, it doesn't matter if you have experience or not(save advisory). The only thing that affects pay is if an individual is chartered or not.
