I am another concerned citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I see how disturbing the security challenge our dear country faces across all geopolitical zones. However, more worrisome is that some Nigerians, notable ones, are bent on fanning the embers of disunity. One would expect that this sense of unpleasantness will come from folks who know no better. But for well read, beneficiaries of the wealth to clamour split-up, remains a wonder. Permit me to state that indications appear that there are others who though shy from the agenda of separation but have decided to hide their convictions that Nigeria will conquer.

These among others are the narrations dominating the waves. Some frightful, misleading or instigating resistance against constituted authority, while others undermining the mandate and loyalty of agencies. This cannot be good for us and may not help us surmount these myriads of challenges. Let it be clear, that advocates of these inflammatory must either seek to recommend workable solutions or keep their opinions within themselves. Because I know that the popular saying is that Nigeria cannot survive another war. This therefore is my opinion going forward to all those expressing concern.

But we can fix this. I must commend our security forces, for their lot, despite peculiar challenges, some having to pay the supreme price, working under sometimes harsh conditions and pitiable remuneration. In other climes, citizens bring a healthier dose of patriotism to the table both in character and actions. Particularly from eminent individuals, who have benefited so much from this country. Challenge government with patriotism, because in a constitutional democracy like ours, every constituent has their role, Buhari, “his government”, the security and the civic populace.

A wornderful call. But animals dnt take what human beings take.
