The leader of the Indeginous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Friday the 7th of May during a live broadcast stated that the students of Abia state university that were kidnapped yesterday, 6th May 2021 were kidnapped by the Nigerian Army and not Fulani Herdsmen.

Kanu also said that they are being held in the Military barrack, Ulokpa and ordered the Eastern Security Network to comb every forest and bring back the students at all cost.
