Since it is a world full of choices. Especially when it comes to education and choosing a career path that promises a bright future. Looking back, many of the new kind of jobs in the different domains actually do not require the kind of knowledge that the traditional 3 to 4-year College Degrees bring; rather what is required is more Specialized Industry Focused Training in the form of proficiency Diplomas & Certificate programs that would equip and empower the individuals with proper Knowledge, Skills, Know-hows and the Proficiency to do the tasks essentially required.

Confused as you may, all the choice made today they say is going to decide the future life ahead.

Besides, since its not everyone who aspires to become an Engineer, a Doctor, or a Scientist can't one have a great career otherwise too? This is thus the reason for the question:

Your vocational training can give you faster funds than your University Degree will in this current economic quagmire.

However, there is also a possibility of earning big with your university degree, though a chance of this happening is slim in Nigeria currently.
Interests also matters because not everyone is wired for academics, some people are wired for handwork (I particularly love Germans in this aspect)

The bottom line is to do what works for you in the short run (for survival today) and long run (for survival tomorrow)
