ISRAEL SHEPHERD shares a message to every believer in Christ Jesus from the book of 1 Peter 1:14-16

"As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

But as He which hath called you is Holy, so be ye Holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye Holy; for I am Holy"

For Emphasis listen to what the New Living Translation says;
So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.

For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

Do you also obey Old Covenant commandments , such as the 10 commandments and fasting rules as is found in leviticus16?

Love is the fulfillment of the Law and that is Christ's commandment to His Church.
If you Love God, you fulfill the Law
If you love your brothers and sister and neighbors, you fulfill the law
If you love you will not be found wanting of the law, because if you love you will not steal, you will not kill, you will not commit adultery, you will not cover your brother's property...

If you love me keep my commandments Jesus said.

He commanded us to watch and Pray
In His sermon Matthew 5-7 He mentioned and gave counsel regarding when you pray and when you fast... There is nothing in the old covenant that's not in the New, the difference is that Christ has fulfilled the law, He didn't destroy it as He said.

If you have a new heart and you're born again, The Holy Spirit will help you In This dispensation to do the perfect will of God. He's fellowship will help you fulfill your obedience to God. Follow Jesus faithfully and your questions will be answered by the Holy Spirit who is our Teacher.
