The only way to beat Chelsea is through long balls. If you watch today’s game you’ll see that.

The mistake Christensen made was from a long ball, the penalty call on the sterling-zouma scenario was from a long ball. There were a couple of other occasions as well Chelsea didn’t deal with long balls well from city.

Go to Youtube, search for Nouman and watch his Tuchel analysis and you'd notice Tuchel core tactics is creating spaces in the opposition half and exploring those spaces. He presses the opposition with kante and Jorginho to create spaces for Mount to explore to free Werner.

Chelsea don't leave pocket of spaces when the opposition is with the ball, unless a defender miscalculated.

If you play pacy game against Chelsea, they will kill you. The only problem with Chelsea is that they are not clinical if not club like Man City, Real Madrid go dey chop goal.

If u don't play the high line u are inviting pressure in ur own half and putting much pressure on ur midfielders as they will be outnumbered. The difficulty in playing chess is that they don't play with a conventional target striker. All front three drift out wide and come to the midfield to link up play. As a defender u won't sit in ur box when the attacker u should be closing down is Linking up play just cos u don't want to keep a highline. The difficulty in playing Chelsea is the balance in the team. Very strong defensively and very dangerous going forward. Even if city decides to sit back they LL still get drawn out cos Chelsea are very good at playing out from the back. The final is going to be very interesting, I see Pep trying to overthink it which mind result in him making bad calls.
