If it's possible, can the admins take a look at Mesmer's account history and tell us if he changed his WhatsApp link or edited his account in the last 3 days.

If someone insists on not using an escrow, that is completely a red flag, what due diligence do you need again?

It is not a mix up to the best of my knowledge,he fell for the classic scam,where a scammer would introduce himself as a well know nairaland member,like others said,he failed to do due diligence,I remb a case of Someone dragging day11 for similar issue,he was obviously scammed by someone claiming to be who is he is actually accusing right now,he should direct his energy to the beneficiary bank.

The only question i will ask u is this? Are u 100% sure u checked the profile of his name Mesmer and not a name that looks like his and u clicked on the WhatsApp link in his signature and it took u directly to the person that chatted u before paying? Be honest with yourself and think well before u answer this question. Hope it was not after u have paid that u went to click on the link and it took u to a different number but u don't know who to blame anymore. I'm not defending anyone here but the solution to this issue lies in my question. Did u really clicked on the real Mesmer's WhatsApp link on his signature to confirm before paying or u actually did that after u have been scammed cos it's obvious u have been scammed. Also don't forget to put a lien on the scammer's account and see if u can still recover anything left in the account if at all there is still money in that account.

Few moments after payment was made, you changed the signature link to lead to this number +234 802 758 6948. You even called me with the first number to show you have sent proof of available balance. You’re not getting away with this one, be rest assured.
