Insecurity: Southern Governors Meet In Asaba by oshozondii(op): 11:14am On May 11, 2021

There is heavy security in Asaba the Delta State capital as southern governors meet today, Tuesday.

Security operatives were seen at strategic points in the capital to forestall any unforeseen occurrences.

The road leading to the Government House, the venue of the summit has been barricaded while security at the entrance gate has also been beefed up.

The PUNCH gathered that the persistent attacks on police assets and killings of policemen in the south-east and south-south, and kidnappings would be top on the agenda for the meeting.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Olise Ifeajika, said that almost all the governors are expected to arrive in the state today (Tuesdays).

He said, “Yes, we are happy to have them, the meeting will hold in the government house; after the meeting, decisions will be taken and the communique will be read.”

The south will unite to crush the invaders and there is nothing you will do about.
Bandits and terrorism will not thrive here.
I pray and hope the south unite and request for restructuring in the next 90 days.

Tinubu usually rallies them together as his bargaining chips whenever he feels he is about to be outsmarted in Abuja.. He started the first meeting during Obasanjos regime..

Trying to make it look like he commands the politics of the South in order to gain more grounds while negotiating with his northern accomplices. But a lot of water has passed under the bridge.

Check closely, the three periods that group announced all these hurried meetings are always towards presidential elections.

Remove all service chiefs (from divisional crime officers or equivalent) in the southern states for incompetence.
And violence will go down to zero in the south.
