These 2 middle aged men, in a tinted silver Avalon, plate number Akd 301fx once robbed a friend and I in ikoyi-cms axis.
Their operation seems to be same, offer young girls rides, then while driving aimlessly around bond their hands, sometimes mouth, with cello tapes and rob them of their phones, and all belongings, ask them to unlock their phones, bank apps, transfer all funds or ask for their atm card pins. Then drop them somewhere around cms.
I noticed their experience because as soon as I got home and tried to use a friends phone to activate my find my iPhone, we noticed they had reset my apple password.

They robbed a friend and I last year and now my colleague is telling me she had same exact experience in 2016. (2 men, one fair one dark, silver car, cms taped her and took her belongings. She also said another person also narrated same exact experience to her. Basically it looks like they only target girls, offer them free rides on busy roads and perform their operations in their car and drop them somewhere lonely. They also threaten with guns but apparently no one has ever seen their guns.

Anyone with similar experience?

What can be done to stop this menace?

Mods please front page

Edit: the Igbo is not to create discord or be tribalistic but to profile and describe the men as indepthly as I can so former victims can identify them. Best to focus on the issue at hand than being tribalistic.
There are obviously Yoruba thieves in Lagos too, probably plentier considering number of Lagos touts. My colleague claims one of the men gave her 150 tfare cos “she’s his sister” so while you want to focus on tribe, it’s fine but Igbo girls are also getting robbed daily by this men.

Lol,,, Hope she thanked them for the tfare...

It's not really funny but I believe this kind of thing can be avoided unless they forces girls into their car.

Sorry for what happened to you and your colleague though.

cheesy grin cheesy Most especially when they see a fine car. It's no wonder they easily fall prey to ritualists and kidnappers.
