This is in fact the most uneducated reply so far, at least from a legal perspective. From the perspective of the law, the accused is still innocent. Of course, we all saw the video and know that he is guilty, but guilt is to be pronounced in Court, and per the dictates of our legal system,he is entitled to bail as he would be in any sane country.

Now I don't know your definition of sane country but I will tell you that even murder is bailable in the Western countries. Do your best to understand that bail is not an acquittal.

in fact, tell me. I saw a very short clip of the video where he started making advances. Are you saying to have sex with a 14 your old, consensual or not is legal in the Nigeria's Law? Or Why would he even make advances to a minor in the first place. You're trying to tell me now that if you see and adult making sexual advances to your child and or teenage sister, you're just going to sit down and say there is no evidence?

You are still in tears.... Funny enough an average Nigerian has someone that something has happened to and FYI, If my daughter claims to have been raped by someone, I will definitely need evidence (medically or through confession: non of which this case has presented ) to prosecute such person.
Please save me this stories and present evidence of continuous rape for 7 years... Check her private part FFS. There should be evidence of forceful entry.. You can't rape a minor for 7 years without any damage.

Now as a father in this unfortunate situation I might murder any such bastard. But this is why no man can be a judge in his own case. As an impartial arbiter of the law, my duty is to the Law. I would be strongly obligated to maintain a veneer of neutrality.

That is the law and the law must be upheld no matter what. That is why one of the first principles of Law is "let justice be done though the heavens may fall".

I am very sure you do know that there is no provable evidence for this case and that is why that setup video was made in the first place. Now, as far as my knowledge permits me, once there's a case of rape by a minor in the western countries, then it's straight jail term. Lots of careers has been abruptly halted because of this. Do you remember this westerners are far more advanced than us?

Let me say how this case would most likely end. There is no evidence against the accused and the courts grants him freedom.

Now, I see why this girl told me she cannot come out to say what happened to her because she described a scenario like this and I honestly now reason with her, she will only be the one in shame. And sadly, it happened again (now as an adult) but she cannot say anything because she knows Nigerians more than I do. This is sad.

I have a question for you. Do you believe the little girl, that she has been getting raped for 7 years or not? If yes, how would you prove it with the exact same realistic state of country?
