Stop speculating on things you're not knowledgeable about. There is no developed legal system anywhere in the world where an allegation on its own is sufficient to warrant a conviction. There must be supporting evidence.

In this case, the video is evidence that can be tendered in Court so i'm not sure what your argument is about again.
You didn't answer my question.

I am once again disappointed in you. Well, when it happens to you, go to Nigerian hospitals and get your evidence of forceful entry there. Check her privates and tell your daughter to shut it until your have your evidence. Good luck.
This is why this Baba Ijesha case will be used by Lagos to teach victims, their families their rights.Rapist ,abusers and rape apologists will do well to learn from this. With sexual abuse you may be throwing your life away. Make no mistake on this Lagos is very thorough on sexual abuse complaints

Sexual abuse is not only rape. Its a long list of various crimes clearly categorized by Lagos laws with penalties ascribed by category and baba Ijesha crimes occurred in Lagos

So a responsible parent or anyone in society can help that child report with or without the evidence. The job of Lagos state DVSTT will be to help the victim through the prosecution, social support and rehabilitation process. There are NGOs with funding dedicated to just that.No one should tolerate abuse for lack of evidence. And it is the role of caregivers and society to do all they can to ensure that justice is served within the confines of the law when abuse is suspected.

NO ONE should tell a person who reports abuse to "shut up".Thats pure evil against every moral code. We are enjoined in all religion to speak up for the abused and oppressed.

Remember the chrisland teacher accused of abusing a minor. He is in jail now, high level security prison.Despite little or no evidence at the time the case was reported.Infact the evidence was overwhelmingly against the accuser. But the courts reviewed his guilt through other means.

So anyone especially children with or without evidence should please make a complaint to Lagos DVSTT you will get the support you need fully

There are abusers in our society and those that enable them. This trend will be stamped out when we all start speaking up.If you suspect abuse, speak up.

I have a question for you. Do you believe the little girl, that she has been getting raped for 7 years or not? If yes, how would you prove it with the exact same realistic state of country?
These were your questions.

I responded by saying the video is evidence.

Do you not know what evidence means??

If I say I have seen evidence of something that clearly means I believe such a thing. I then pointed out to you that the same evidence can be used in Court to win the case.

So which of your questions have I not answered?

Thank you very much for this. You mentioned this; "No one should tolerate abuse for lack of evidence."
It is what exactly I see majority on this thread and in Nigeria as a whole doing. They appear to be tolerating abuse for lack of superb evidence.

Mr dude, what tears are coming out of your eyes? Everyone knows that shes been getting molested since the past 7 years. Do you expect the planned video get to the point where he would insert his penis into her vagina before it is called an evidence? You're dull sir.
Another report came out that the person who molested her before the baba ijesha incidence also happens to be close to princess, and has been arrested.
The core of the matter is,is the crime committed bailable or not?

[s]You all are sounding like educated illiterates. I see a flood of mentally deranged replies on this move. Tell me, in a sane country would the Yomi still be able to walk freely? Like someone said, is the crime a bailable one? The case would be lost and nothing will be done in Nigeria but this woman is trying to make that not happen, are you all blind. Is it until he roams freely and your sisters his next victim?

You all are annoying. Do you know how badly rape affects people? It destroys most people totally, be it guy or girl. You all who say nonsense are dull brain cells. You people are not even qualified to complain about Nigeria's situation, i am terribly disappointed in you people.[/s]
you need likes badly, did he rape your mother.... Dundee

I mentioned earlier, that was an emotional statement. My point is most people don't appear to be saying what they are supposed to stay. The type of comments I saw today has made me believe we truly deserve a bad government untill everyone has sense.

this iyabo ojo's own is too much. what exactly is her problem??
people like this lady always end up in bigger mess. To think that they practice the same profession....aiish. We all condemn the man but it is another dimension of hatred and unkindness to mankind if you are trying to cash out from the fall or fallout of your own neighbour. Seeking clouts, hurling out uncut words...

Hmmm am a Yoruba man but truth be told most of our nollywood actresses have missed it and bitterness rest in their mind forget fake happiness you see in their faces.

No joy for single mother or divorce no matter how hard he or she tried to fake it.

At old age truth stare them in the face.

From the video I watched,I could only see what was happening, but I could not hear what was being said.
From what I saw,it was a big set up,which baba ijesha fell into completely.
From the video,I sensed that baba ijesha probably had been 'toasting' the girl for sometime, and the girl reported to princess.
From the video,I sense that the CCTV was planted to catch him red handed.
From the video evidence I watched,it was like the girl actually 'agreed' to baba ijesha's advances, cus I could see he was Soo happy and smacking his head in the video,as if the girl finally decided to agree to his demands or have sex with him.
He was so excited,he went round the houses to verify if no one was around and decided to take his chance.
That is what I gathered from this whole video,I am open to different opinions though.
I find the video as not enough evidence honestly, cus the video should have been a confrontational one, where she would really confront baba ijesha to confess to his crimes.
I just seethe video as one which caught baba ijesha, who tot he could have one oshofree pussy.

Just like the way your president is minding his business and people are dying and wallowing in kidnapping and poverty. Let everyone mind the business, so keep having fun when it's your turn, you'll be on your own.

Sentiment have defeated us in Nigeria. People no longer reason with their brains, but with emotions.

Truth be told, is Baba Ijesha's crime bail able? If it is then I see no reason whatsoever why he's still being held.
judiciary is on strike
