There is a new slogan for the recent unity in Southern Nigeria. When I say "United South" response is "On A Restructured Nigeria We Stand".

This unity in Southern Nigeria need to be solidified and let us erase backwardness. We need to love each other and fight together for a good purpose.

United South !

The banter is the fun. Most Igbos see Yorubas as friendly rivals for good and vice versa. They dont aim to kill the, mselves they only aim to do better. That is how it is supposed to be.

This is Yoruba stunt and it is dead on arrival. There is nothing such as "United South". On the red colored, only when Lagos and Abuja, which are built with commonwealth, are situated in the defunct Eastern and Midwestern regions respectively. If this scenario cannot be met, I resolutely say disintegration of the shithole called Nigeria is the best option.

We're only united in secession. That's it. Small victories are not what we're looking for. Until we see movement on disintegration of Nigeria, we will not be happy, and all this "united south" will be cursed as well just like Nigeria.

I pray so. Sometimes the competition as you called it can be childish and annoying.

Yeah, the south is united. The few distractions amongst us are the Yoruba Muslim BMCs' and even those ones are in the least minority and Thier opinions don't matter. We Ndigbo must continue with our evangelism and neglect all those fulanis who are trying to sow discord between us and yorubas. Thankfully, many Yoruba sons and daughters are educated abroad so they know that fulanis are excess luggage to Nigeria. Ndigbo, it is ours to enlighten everybody and we must never grow weary of doing so.

I hate hearing these words.
He hasn't traveled outside his zone.
I'm sure you never traveled up to 20 states in Nigeria.

Now, let me tell u why Yoruba and Igbo can live together as a country.

1. Culture differs while the Igbos don't give a Bleep about their elders, respect is part and parcel of Yorubas

2. Religion differs, while the Igbos are strong catholics and Anglicans, Yorubas are mainly traditional people.

3. Igbos don't give a fvck about Muslims, but an average Yoruba family.have Muslims, Christians and traditional people

4. Igbos like to do things independently, Yorubas like to do things together and collectively.

You can disapprove any lie in the above.

You can disapprove any lie in the above.

That your number one is a capital lie. Don't let the face offs between Ohaneze and Igbo youths made popular by Biafra agitations deceive you. We respect our elders but are not afraid to call the elder to order when he oversteps his boundaries.

According to your number 2, you haven't heard nor seen Igbo Pentecostals and traditionalists abi?
Kontinu. See what I am talking about?

That your number 4 is another lie. Have you heard about Umunna? Go and verify what it means. Igbos have age grades of different types. There are umuada age grades for married daughters. There is nze and ọzọ forum. In every community, the Umunna attends to any pressing matter before it escalates. This is the first conflict resolving forum in every Igbo community and it's stronger than even the law court in some instances.

ANYWHERE AN IGBO MAN FINDS HIMSELF, BE SURE TO FIND A UNION THAT LINKS THEM ALL TOGETHER. THEY EVEN SPONSOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES DOWN HOME. During last year lockdown, every Igbo community had donations from diaspora. Do you know why an organisation like IPOB is waxing stronger, it is because they make huge donations and attend meetings in their different countries of residence.

Ogbeni have you lived in any Igbo state before? Have you spent up to a year in Igbo land before? Why I ask you these questions is cos I found out the average Yoruba hardly talks about an Igbo person from a personal experience (s). It's usually done from second hand information. You cannot say the same of Igbos who travel a lot and have missed a lot with you people.

I am privileged to have lived in the North, South South, South West and South East. I grew up and schooled in a diverse ethnic environment. I had and still have friends from every nook and cranny of Nigeria, both as classmates and as colleagues. If we can be sincere to ourselves, an Igbo man is far quicker to learn a fellow Nigerian's language (dialetc) unlike others. I am speaking this from first hand experience. I know how many Yorubas and Hausas who have lived many years in Igboland but they cannot speak Igbo but an Igbo man does so in half the time others spent in his region. Doesn't this show open mindedness?

When I was in Owerri, I had countless testimonies of Yoruba corpers mostly who came down to Igboland to do their NYSC. From their testimonies, they found out that what they had been spoonfed about Igbo man being cannibals, wicked etc were false. They realised, these evils associated with Igbos were blown out of proportion. I once had a neighbour from the South West. They rated me as one of the best fellow they had encountered. To the extent that when their mum paid a visit, she had to come thank me for the wonderful things she had been hearing about me.

Many of the corpers I was talking about are presently settled in Igboland. Many of them are married to Igbo ladies. Go to Owerri for instance and ask of GOFON poultry, Idowu poultry, music pastor Adesoji Joseph, Jide Taiwo and partners (a surveyor), etc. The list is endless. A lot of Yorubas are established in Owerri with many living in their own houses as landlords. Many housing contractors in the East at large are Yorubas with Yoruba wives. When you converse with them, they will disabuse your mind on the tales you have been hearing about Igbos.

A Yoruba once told me that why he loves associating with Igbos is that they will somehow impart into you the spirit of entrepreneurship. From the way you sound, I know you haven't spent more than a month in Igboland. So, I know what I am saying. Sorry this post is too long than I had meant it to be.

Big joke! Southern Nigerians are the most disunited. If Nigeria has to be restructured it has to be 6 zones minimum. Who go come gree for who for Southern Nigeria? Igbo vs Yoruba wahala go just vanish overnight? If anything it will be turbocharged because there will no Hausa-Fulani to distract.
