Who Else Has Noticed This?

I have noticed that it is very difficult to come across 10 Naira notes these days. Infact, I don't remember the last time I saw a 10 Naira note. I hope the 10 Naira note is not going the way of 5 Naira notes.

Take fifty naira to a shop near you and buy sachet water 40 naira. see if they won't give you 10 naira change. Or are you trying to tell us you dont transact with smaller denominations any longer?

This is exactly what I have been experiencing, hence my question. Shops no longer seem to have 10 Naira notes.

Sometimes it may be a strategy to make you use up your change to purchase other items. These petty traders do it a lot.

You should have said ₦5. That one is now in extinction.

The reason for this is the high currency exchange rate which has devalued these small currencies. The government is not really working.
I remembered how I use to buy ₦10 groundnut which was sufficient to zip a full cup of garri. I wonder how things will be in this country in the next 10 years.

Ten naira is still common, especially from those petty hawkers..

I haven't set my eyes on a five naira note, since 2018...

It is phasing out like the coins.

IMO, we had no business with making higher denominations after 100 naira notes.

The inflation is making things worse for the lesser notes self. What can five naira buy?

Pure water is now 20naira in some parts. What this means is that 10naira will become extinct.
