Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Kill Catechist, 2 Others In Nasarawa (Graphic Photos)

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herders have killed a catechist identified as Sydney Shirsha and two others at Amudu village in Giza chiefdom, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, IgbereTV reports.

IgbereTV gathered that the suspected gunmen, who were armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed Amudu, a Tiv village in Giza Development Area, at midnight on Saturday, May 15.

According to reports, several others sustained various degrees of gunshot injury during the attack. Hundreds of locals had fled the area following the attack. The president of the Tiv Development Association (TIDA) in Nasarawa State, Comrade Peter Ahemba, who confirmed the incident, lamented constant attacks on his people.

Sharing news of the attack on Facebook, Tarkunde Vitalis wrote;

"With pains in my heart,I announce the death of catechist Shirsha Sidneys. He was murdered in his house -Tse- Amudu Keana LGA Nasarawa state by SUSPECTED Fulani herdsmen along one other person with many others injured.
May God grant him eternal rest.

If you commit a crime in any part of Nigeria and then run to your village in any other part and hide even in a hole, police will find you and arrest you.
Even prisoners who escaped from Owerri prison were recaptured a week later in far away Ghana. But nobody ever finds these Fulani herdsmen who kill at anytime and anywhere they so desire.
I have never heard that a killer Fulani herdsman has been arrested or prosecuted.
The only thing you hear after such attacks would be that Buhari or other federal official would condemn the attack and appeal to survivors not to go for reprisals.
