@SMG007 Yes, folic acid is essential for every woman of childbearing age, I think the dosage is 400mcg daily.

@eff-7 welcome
@smg007 folic acid is good it should be started up to 3 months prior to ttc
Well all if nothing happens within the next two months im gonna ask my family to send me coenzyme q 10, its suppose to renew the cells in the body and make a wome's reproductive abilities go back like 10 years so if your in your 30's you will have the fertility of someone in their 20s. smiley

Thanks for the input. I am in my 20's so maybe i don't need the CoQ10 yet. Too many things to try when one is TTC. Did you still help to check for the Instead softcups?

l have read from your profile.
l read you use it like clomid, day 2-6, or 3-7 or 5-9, same dosage. if you take 50mg of clomid, you will take about 80 -120mg of it. l was looking at the one supplied to us, l dont seem to understand, its like it contains 5g, not very sure shaa. because if thats the case 5g =5000mg.

Thanks, hopefully i will receive the Soy Isoflavin today. I don't know what to make of this cycle,i am suppose to be on CD19 but bled the last 3 days. When i went for scanning yesterday, the heamorraghic cyst i had earlier has resolved itself and still have one follicle @ 19mm waiting to ovulate.
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by infogenius(m): 10:36am On Feb 10, 2012
This is intersting.Pls I beg to differ, what is the soy Isoflavin supposed to do an alternative to clomid? Its okay but I believe it will consumed sparingly as excessive consumption of soy products has been linked to thyroid problems.

Unless when absolutely necessary all medications should be stopped when ttc since they can affect every organ of the body they emit.

@ champs i got to the pharmacy yesterday and they dont have the soft cups, they never heard of it cry
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by mrskem09(f): 11:29am On Feb 10, 2012
@ Champs don't know if you have start using the soy isoflavin i would suggest you hold on and try Vitex, i have high prolactin and low progestrone. which loads of clomid and parlodel could not control in fact messed up my cycle and flow. recently tried Vitex ( bought it from Health shop beside shoprite ikeja outlet) 100 capsule for 1,950 Naira. Made a huge difference on my cycle. the Flow was unbelievable before i would use a pack of tampon for 4cycles or more. this cycle was so painless. i usually have cramps before and during my AF. it regulate and boost fertility you can google more on it and compare.Loads of baby dust, grin

What is the name of the health store pls, dont know where shoprite is at ikeja, but l will definately locate it, if you tell me the name of the pharmacy.

yes it will be consumed sparely, just five days in a cycle, like clomid.

Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Omofranca(f): 7:18pm On Feb 11, 2012
Yes, EPO increases cervical mucus naturally but don't expect results until you've used it for at least 3 months. If you want faster results, try ROBITUSSIN  chesty cough syrup starting from about 6 days before ovulation. Your nose will start running from about the 2nd day of use and it will also thin your cervical mucus. You can get it from both Healthplus and Alpha pharmacy. However it must be the one in the RED packet with GUAFENESIN ONLY. DO NOT USE THE ROBITUSSIN IN BLUE OR GREEN PACKETS as these contain other ingredients.

Well, I used Soy this month, and if it works i will let you guys know. I have a couple of friends who have used it and got pregnant. So we see.
Robitussin
I have used EPO, and yes it does increase your cervical mucus, but i heard it could delay your ovulation. I have used Robitussin, but be careful. Make sure its the DM.

Good luck ladies. And hey, SOY should be used like Clomid, donot exceed 200Mg a day. It does cause headaches though.

I tried vitext too and it did shorten my cycle.

Wow, Feels really good to know we r sharing what tips and discussing. I pray all efforts will be rewarded with a bfp .

For this cycle, I decided to get back on fertilaid. For the past cycles I used only a prenatal and preseed.

I am also reading a book "taking charge of your fertility" so far it has been good info. Anyone else read it?

The book promotes charting basal temps and changes in cervical mucus. I will give it a try this month.

Good luck ladies.
