Passer-by Killed, One Injured As Gunmen Attack Benue Revenue Inspection Point (Graphic Photos)

A passer-by identified as Dajoh Shima was shot dead and another injured when unknown gunmen attacked a Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) tax point in Zaki-Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of the state, IgbereTV reports.

The attack occured on Sunday evening, May 16.

Eyewitness reports stated that the gunmen numbering about six wearing Nigerian Army uniforms attacked the inspection point on a convoy of motorcycles shooting sporadically which resulted in the death of Shima, who was within the vicinity while another person sustained injuries.

The is coming after illegal tax operators unsuccessfully attacked the Executive Chairman of BIRS, Dr. Andrew Ayabam.
