This should be the 10th official Nigeria Warships $7.5 billion per each...

What are the navy gonna do with it?...no war nothing...just cruise around the sea...

Why don't we get a missile instead...

We can easily lunch that into our enemies territories...

it's surprising how people can post misleading information with so much confidence...

1. Nigeria has never built a warship for $7.5 billion infact how much is an aircraft carrier that a war ship alone will go for such outrageous amount..

2. Our economy is totally dependent on oil and guess what Mr man we get most of our oil from the sea in our EEZ (Economy exclusive zone), if pirates decide to start blowing up rigs and platforms on the seas and the navy ain't cruising around who stops them..

3. Launching a missile ain't as easy as u see in the movies, missiles are maintained, missiles are upgraded regularly because air defences are too funny thing is our neighbours esp Chad has more sophisticated air defences

Thank God for the Buhari administration. This is the same ship that was decommissioned 10 years ago during the locust thieving PDP/ GEJ administration when oil price was doing fine. It was the time the GEJ administration handed over the management of our waterways to Tompolo. Smh.
May God bless PMB. May God bless Nigeria my fatherland.

Buhari has killed more people than the Iraq, Syrian, and biafran war all together.

He is a Terrorist that needs to be stoned to death

Was this stopover a sly message to Accra from Abuja, to not test the will of the African giant?

We are getting tired of all this harassment of Nigerians in Ghana.

African giant without electricity? grin

Or the African giants whose citizens are being slaughtered and kidnapped on daily by local bandits? Or the the African giant whose women are being raped and married off by local bandits? grin

God forbid this type of giant. If this is truly African giant, then African is finished patapata grin

I think you didn't get my point sir. The meaning of decommission is not the crux of my point because the word de-commission itself is self explanatory. Also, it is stated in the report that this is a new ship and it takes the name Lana which is the name of the one decommissioned under the corrupt PDP/ GEJ administration. So I didn't bring up any confusion on which ship is in context. It is this new Lana.

What I drew your attention to is that the GEJ administration decommissioned a ship and didn't get it replaced even in the face of obvious need to replace the one his administration de-commissioned with him as the Grand Commander of The Armed Forces, rather his administration outsourced the security task the Lana he decommissioned and didn't replace should have done to Tompolo, his kinsman ,Ijaw man( emphasis is mine to draw attention to the nepotism of that administration too) and one who once took up arms against the FG.

That is referenced for posterity and to help me appreciate the government for not passing on the task of replacing that ship decommissioned by his predecessor to his successor while our waterways remain unsafe.

If the corrupt PDP/ GEJ administration that decommissioned Lana 1 had built a new one, this would have been the second ship so that we have both in use or one as back up when there's need for security reinforcements.

I am sure the Naval officers are happy and you can read the pride of being a Nigerian Navy personnel in the statement they made in Ghana. God bless President Muhammadu Buhari. God bless Nigeria.
Shut up.

Jonathan bought more ships and built more local boats since 1999 than any president in history including Buhari.

These Buhari supporters are just disgusting.

Prowling for any tiny bit of news to launder the image of buhari in the midst of so much incompetence, mismanagement and suffering.

No respect for Nigerians or decency for that matter.

Rubbish , you should rather focus on dealing with the Nigerian criminal pirates who are turning the Gulf of Guinea into a hell hole .

Nigeria is never capable of even dealing with his local criminals let alone take on other countries, feh !

They were actually pretty advanced for African standard.

The one Jonathan bought from China was possibly the most advanced of its class on the continent.

1.) I mean $7.5m

2.) Agreed, we have pirates posing a treat to our rigs which can affect our economy

But are you saying we have more population of pirate attack than BH and bandits...

If reported atall maybe we will likely have about 1 or 2 pirate case in this year alone...

How many bandits , unknown gunmen , BH cases have been reported this year so far?

3.) When we are talking about lunching a missile...it's definitely not gonna be lunched like you are lunching a fire crackers....

Everyone knows it has protocols...you can just lunch anything without proper survey

Ogbeni, wẹ don hear you.

Nevertheless, with the way you are calling gej corrupt in all your post has really revealed your intention (awọn teamsaibaba). But listen, Gej won't just wake-up to decommissioned a ship if nothing is not wrong with it, also for a govt to have decommissioned a ship, am sure the govt has a plan of replacing it which may not be easy because a high tech ship like this definitely cost a lot of money and time.....
The same way GEJ sold off Power to his goons cos something was wrong with it with the hope of improvement abi? Bro, PMB administration be making GEJ administration looks like the Messiah. GEJ might be a good person with good intention but his administration was corrupt. It was so bad that many things happened under his nose unperturbed. PMB might comparatively be the worse but in terms of infrastructure and development PMB does better despite the dwindled economy we are currently facing.

Nigeria does not have capacity to defeat Ghsna in battle at the moment. We hv very weak institutions and almost none existent indigenous technology.

Besides, you cannot wage war on others because they chose to implement their constitution. If Nigeria is so useless to enforce ECOWAS protocols but all allows herders to wreck havoc, is nobody's business. you will not victimize others for endorsing their laws.
