as if he would have won d award without d help of Nigerians that brought him to limelight before he could be recognized internationally, his source is Nigeria whether he likes it or not and a river that forgets it's source will dry off

How did Nigeria bring him to limelight. Was it Nigeria that helped him record all his songs ?

Let me tell you, if Grammy was organised my Nigeria, burna won't even see nomination because everything Nigeria do is ojoro. You guys will rather vote for frog voice. Nigga is working with better people and with a much better record label. See levels na

Calm down. You don't like Bura and he doesn't like you too. Burna is winning you all even without your likes. Develop countries like him.

I was on Twitter in 2019 when burna boy was invited for the Coachella music festival in d US. Burna boy observed that his name was spelled in small letters and he raised objection to it noting he is an "African Giant". To my greatest amazement, many nigerians derided him and said he was being arrogant & that his attitude will get him nowhere. Many asked, what made him think he was a giant when he was just a local champion. I felt obligated join in d conversation & noted that if burna chose to call himself "African Giant", I don't see why Nigerians are insulting him for it.

Later in 2019, he released an album "African Giant", a hit by no mean standards. He went on to win d Grammys after nigerians said his pride will get him nowhere. He has won d Grammys. D same nigerians who never liked burna and who said he will amount to nothing, are now claiming they are responsible for his success. So which humility are u still talking about?

Awards are not won by pride or humility but by work and merits. He deserved the award that’s why he won it. I’m only not in support of his statement that he isn’t a Nigerian artiste, well unless he has another nationality, then it’s fine if he says such.

The album that won him a Grammy is Twice as Tall. African Giant was his first nomination.

I love this. Betterstill, any of his release should be ignored by Nigerians to show him how stupid he is @DekingKudos “If that’s the case, I think you should just make your next album unavailable for your Nigerian audience and let’s see how far you will go.”

Your submission is poorly thought to say the least.
You have too many 'manys'; that probably translated to "All" in your mind.
Question is, what about the rest??
His die hard fans? They're negligible right??
You and Burna have a lot in common, you're just not as rich and famous grin

If Nigerians had the key to this guys’ destiny, they would make sure he becomes nothing in life.
But God pass una

Because he won a Grammy now, he’s no longer a Nigerian artiste? The shows he had organized and people turn out en mass for is called what? Are those people the whites he’s worshiping? The guy sings well no doubt, but he needs to respect the audience. Even those that have won Grammy more times than he has are still humble.

Until he starts licking your dirty ass, that's when u will see him as humble. You think say Grammy na headies award that Davido ND other untalented artist can win ? Them no dey use money buy Grammy bro.

Which one is many of you? Is your brain still in there? So many Nigerians love Burna boy.

Burna boy has trolls just the same way Davido has too. But he is going to ruin it.

Shattap. When we are talking of king Burna, do not mention Davido, but you can mention Fela, wizkid ND 2baba.

Many of U jus open ur mouth but shit comes out instead.. Is he the first artiste with haters? Wizkid has fans and haters, Davido has fans and haters, even their foreign counterparts like Drake, Nikki Minard and even Beyince all have Fans and haters but They still concentrate more on the fans than the haters. Why did he come back to Nigeria all the way from the UK drop his first single? He should have started his career in the UK since "our" Nigeria contributes nothing to him.

No vex, he doesn't want to be associated with failures like you..... move on bruh

Nigerians are just bitter people

What is the problem with correcting how your name should be written? cheesy

I just think they were expecting him to Fail but he disappointed them and they're bitter

The thing with Nigerians is that when they expect you to Fail and you don't then they go ahead to start criticizing you with vicious anger cheesy
And his response to them is to keep winning.something that shocked me about him was that even when Nigerians were bitterly tearing him down he said something that made me respect him.he said if I win,you win.his win is not a personal Victory but a victory to nigerians.i was really impressed but as typical misery loves company. cheesy

Even on NL NKO,see vile comments.tuehhh cheesy

The fact that he made that statement was a foolish mistake. Someone would say Nigerians aren’t the large percentage streaming his music lol. Truth be told even in the abroad Nigerians are still amongst the large percentage that stream his music .he still calms that he wasn’t helped by any . History doesn’t lie we know his connection with fela and the rest how his so called righteous mother was fela slut grin

A simple google search will show you “talented” artistes who have never won a Grammy. That doesn’t make them less talented or Burna boy better than they are.

Grammy is only an award. Not a measure of talent.

Who knows diamond Platinum beyond Africa?

Where are his global awards.?
With that his tintinrin style of music?

The only thing he has are views, which is because he is like a one eyed in the midst of the blind.

He is the king of East Africa and he gets all the accolades there which is why he has a lot of YouTube views.

Even he had to come to Nigeria to collaborate and get some level of proper international exposure for his music.
That's some of his awards, check Google yourself for others.
