Some dude nearly died back in Gwags for this.

He and his friend were chasing each other around. The friend chased him and he ran away laughing. His friend turned back not knowing that the dude kept on running and fell into a soakaway while running on it.

What saved him was a guy reading under the tree that saw him fall into the soakaway and alerted everyone.

So I decided to visit a friend and he took me to their Lodge.

students staying off campus feel big and pompous, but they don't know that they are been short changed for their money.

I mean, I observed soak away scattered every where!

There's a particular lane you'll walk across and can't find space to walk on bare ground. I mean, you'll have to step on soakaways before passing that street.

When I talked about my observations, the more shocked I became! I was told that there rooms in are some lodges sitting on soakaways.

Even some container shops on the streets stand on soakaways.

This is terrible, no planning, no value for human life. If someone mistakenly fall into one they'll start blaming the devil!

so sad!
This must be lagos

The problem with erecting a building in nigeria is that town planners don't necessarily want to work in nigeria.. all they are after is settle them even if you want to build in the center of the road that one concern you and your neighborhood.
If I go out today I ll try take a pic of one lovely house
Sitting at the center of street blocking vehicles from going to n fro
Asin u can only enter d stree from d back and also come out using same back
The house was built without plan

Come to North and see the perfect definition of "lack of town planning".
The south should be happy they got soakaway(s). Here in the North, sewage dump could pass through the front of your house directly or just the main road where people pass. Every sewage dump is linked to the gutter, a gutter that is even leading no where to start with. The longest gutter you will see isn't even up to 1km long and yet people link every shit to the gutter. This isn't a tribal jab, I have spent all my life in the north.

Which part/state in the north are you talking about? Probably you are living in one 'lungu' like that abi?

I have lived in all of the Northeastern and Northwestern states. Only the capital cities are better. Even the capital cities, it's just some parts.

lol grin grin
U described the situation perfectly.

I lived in one of those area for a week back in the days, throughout that week my stomach was always turning me, as in ehn constant stomach upsets, suffering from various illness until I left.

I saw human waste of all kinds emanating from those houses seeping directly into the streets/roads as I walked by.

This is a disaster waiting to happen.
And the bad thing is that, they won't just die like that alone, they will first of all eat some rotten poo to the fullest before giving up the ghost!!

Where is the location of your friend's school and the name of the places you visited,
Let some of us @MANNA go there to save some lives.

This is why cities and towns in Nigeria grow and develop into disorganised slums and market places. Just roger the corrupt town planners and you can build a pigsty in the middle of an exclusive high-end estate for all they care. Only Abuja manages to maintain some sort of sanity and enforce town planning laws.

Like I answered someone already, I have stayed in the entire core northern states. I am currently in Kaduna State which also appears to be your own location. You want to dispute it? It won't take up to 10 minutes to get pictures of these disgusting scenes.
