I have just read the press statement credited to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Shehu Malami SAN on the resolution of the Southern Governors Forum to ban open grazing in their respective States. The AGF is quoted to have said that this reasoned decision, among others, is akin to banning all spare parts dealers in the Northern parts of the country and is unconstitutional.

It is most unfortunate that the AGF is unable to distill issues as expected of a Senior Advocate. Nothing can be more disconcerting. This outburst should, ordinarily, not elicit response from reasonable people who know the distinction between a legitimate business that is not in anyway injurious and a certain predilection for anarchy. Clinging to an anachronistic model of animal husbandry, which is evidently injurious to harmonious relationship between the herders and the farmers as well as the local populace, is wicked and arrogant.

Comparing this anachronism, which has led to loss of lives, farmlands and property, and engendered untold hardship on the host communities, with buying and selling of auto parts is not only strange. It, annoyingly, betrays a terrible mindset.

Mr Malami is advised to approach the court to challenge the legality of the Laws of the respective States baning open grazing and decision of the Southern Governor Forum taken in the interest of their people. We shall be most willing to meet him in Court.

The decision to ban open grazing stays. It will be enforced with vigour.

The problem with most Northern federal public office holders is their unfortunate tendency to see everything in terms of WE (Northern interests) vs THEM (Southern interests). They have, over the years, used their positions to serve and promote sectional interests resulting in deep-rooted sense of entitlement, which brings injustice to other sections. Imagine a federal ministry using money budgeted for its primary mandates to build a mosque.

This negative attitude interfers with sincerity of purpose, sense of rationality and fairness needed for nation buolding. That's exactly why Nigeria has been unable to reach its potentials. This rubbish attitude must stop and the battle by Southern Governors' Forum for change should be heightened. It is either restructuring or separation.

Thank you Governor Akeredolu, SAN

Have already said this before and I will keep saying it, 'The unity of the Southerners is a great threat to the Northerners'. Southerners it is high time we wake up from our slumbering and free ourselves from this captivity of the Fulani's.

I like Akeredolu; he's not fazed or cowed by cows in charge. And he's quite measured and firm in his approach.

Kudos.

Malami is a foolish AGF.

Comparing spare parts dealership in a controlled and regulated market to open grazing of cow on farmlands and city centers is the height of insanity.

I never really liked Malami from day one, he's too dull for such an important position.

Malami has never really been a good AGF. Not sure when last we had a really good AGF because I remember one Aadonkai who refused to allow GEJ be sworn in even when it was the right thing to do.
I cannot think of any AGF that stands out for me in this country

In today's world a so called lawyer stands in front of the whole 200million Nigerians and is advocating for a continuous practice of open grazing which the rest of the world has moved on from.
This clearly show that the fight is not about open grazing, its about land, domination, imposition of their backward way of life on the indigenous people of the the south. This will also fail and I commend the governor for standing up to that half backed San and if they north do not like that they should go ahead and ban southern businesses and let's the country keep dividing.

Obviously, the Attorney General of Nigeria, Mr. Malami, obtained his academic credentials through a rigged quota system that rewards antiquated tribal connections over any semblance of intellectual accomplishment in the realm of legal practice.

Mr. Malami's mental insanity is clearly illustrated by his amusing and bizarre claim that Fulani terrorist cattle herdsmen, who now specialize in mass murder, crop destruction, and kidnapping for ransom, are equivalent in his twisted little mind to the legitimate business of selling vehicle spare parts. Perhaps what the semi-literate Attorney General meant to imply with his quaint analogy was that the righteous and long overdue eviction of cattle herding terrorists from southern Nigeria would soon trigger a tit-for-tat retaliatory eviction of Igbo car parts marketers from Northern Nigeria.

If Mr. Malami seeks to evict Igbo spare parts vendors from Nigeria's largely illiterate Islamic northern wasteland, the only effect of such a futile own-goal would be that Igbo entrepreneurs would tactically relocate their businesses to southern Nigeria and thereby abandon northern Nigeria's fundamentalist desert-dwelling hordes to mount camels, donkeys, and goats as their primary modes of transportation or sexual gratification, which would be of little concern to Nigeria's educated southern tribes, in the grand scheme of things.

We in IMO want yorubas to tell us the sign-on fee for governor akeredolu. since this dispensation started, our governor have hopelessly failed to score any goal, infact he has been scoring owngoals, by ordering the killing of our people to safeguard fulani herders, that destroy our farm, rape our women and kill our people untop
We know akeredolu's pedigree as a quality governor, so we're willing to pay twice the sign-on fee for Cristiano Ronaldo and also add hope ontop to complete the deal.

The southern governors and community leaders should be ready to ban the sale of beef or livestock in our states and communities.

Youths should be ready to go into every abbatoir to ensure there are no more slaughter and sale of beef in all our communities.
