Its best to hold on and really appeal for a space this session. Write to the admissions office and graduate chair or top people responsible for your course

Its not easy to change school from Nigeria.
If there is a way you can get into Canada then do the change that would work.

I even just saw the screenshot below now. I no dey bother again lol. Will try to send the mails you recommended tho.

You are too much pls can I contact you, to help me with my SOP please. Please

MindfulV:

If I were in your shoes, I will hinge my study purpose on the fact that diversifying the economy through agriculture is a top priority for Nigeria right now. I will go on to state that agricultural lending by commercial banks has remained really low (state the statistics, I think it is about 2%). The reason is largely due to the lack of understanding of agricultural risk by Nigerian bankers. I will then go on to show how increased lending will boost agriculture which will in turn increase the sector’s contribution to GDP, reduce unemployment and ultimately move Nigeria from a monolithic economy to a diversified economy.

Now, the question will be what your personal persuasion is. If you were working in marketing or in the agriculture desk in your bank, it would be easier to establish this. You would probably state that you have worked on some loan requests from some agribusiness customers and you gained so much satisfaction from serving this particular set of customers compared to customers from other sectors. You could also add that that there are certain agribusiness customers you have lost because you were unable to meet their loan requests due to your limited understanding of their business. To wrap it up, you could state that you are interested in pursuing a Masters in Agriculture because your background is agriculture, you work on agriculture-related transactions as a commercial banker and you are therefore interested in further building your competence in this area as it has huge potential in your country.

My two cents.

Hello guys, I am new on here and this is my first post please be gentle with me smiley. Greetings to all the gurus on here! I have seen the awesome guidelines you give to people which helps greatly in their applications, God will bless you all. I need help with my study permit application and @Frankrobbn1 to kindly vet my application.

Firstly, I have been denied a canadian student visa in 2017 based on travel history and purpose of visit. Then I wasn't aware of nairaland. So this year I decided to try again and I have been offered an admission for Winter 2022 but I am having challenges preparing my study permit documents.

My husband is my sponsor. We plan to pay a year tuition and get a GIC for living expenses. He is presently residing in Germany as a student and would be done with his masters by September. He works with an International Telecom Company here in Nigeria and still gets paid while in Germany, we plan to use his salary account to show proof of income. He also has some stocks he bought in Germany. We don't really know how we will present our case: Can he as a student in Germany sponsor me? And how do we go about it?

Thank you!

Definitely he can sponsor you as you have mentioned he works with a Telecom company, but you don't have only POF to deal with, you have home ties to deal with as your husband is also in Germany

Hello there,I have a bachelor degree in Animal science related to the course Aquaculture I gained admission at MUN but Advance Diploma. I was told by Maple agency receptionist after checking my admission that the degree I applied for is lower than a bachelor degree (Advance Diploma) instead of applying for a post graduate since my qualification is bachelor's degree. They aren't sure it would fly if I proceed, I explained that I earlier applied for MSc but highly competitive and no supervisor available as at when I was trying to apply over two years now, Pls can I proceed with the study permit since the Advance Diploma given is lower than my Bsc. Please what's your take, is it defendable with a strong SOP?
Do you feel it's advisable to try my luck
As you were advised by maple you have a very slim chance getting your application approved with your choice of program, getting a post graduate diploma would be your best fit since you have complained about masters degree being competitive, going for advanced diploma is like going for an HND after a Bachelor's degree, you can see it doesn't look realistic. Best regards

The devil is a liar.
I think you can go o, and ask IRCC for an extension on your stay period later when the new acceptance letter has been issued to you by your school.... Please Gurus in the house should help with this

Ysakaws1:

So my passport has been stamped and received. Then it’s time to secure a seat for my program, PGD Network Security, and UWinnipeg is telling me the program is full and I will be waitlisted or should defer to the next intake. Next intake for my program is February 23. Me that my soul and body is already in Canada like this. Why will I now still wait till almost March next year before moving?? Been racking my head for a solution since, but can’t come up with any. Is it possible to get another program, or even another school for FALL this year, then update IRCC?? Is there still hope for me this year like this?

Why not Ph.D since you have the money. All you need is to get a SUpervisor and you are good to go even if you don't have funding.
Thank you I will do a bit more research to weigh my options.

Hi House; I recently applied for my school fees refund and CIBC claims it has been processed and refunded but Access bank is insisting they’ve not received the fund.

Please who knows the best approach to take to recover the fund;

Please if you’ve requested for a school fees refund to Access bank, please kindly help out with how you went with the process.

Thanks

Yes. A friend paid using stanbicIBTC through 3rd party flywire. It lasted a week and nothing happened. She now has to top up the money in the account and she was debited the next day, and the money got to the school same day. So reason for her own delay was that she did put money in the account based on CAD336.65 conversation rate that she was told at the bank, but was charged CAD342.Bleep based on debit. Hope that guides you.

A change of name is not complete until you reflect the change on your government issued id, update your bvn, update your bank accounts, e.t.c. If you have enough time, yes you can do a change of name before submitting your application. If not, please proceed with your maiden name and ensure you declare your marital status on your immi form. Regardless of the name you answer, the most important thing is not to conceal your marital status on your application.

Please all, I want to know if it is listed that must apply with unconditional offer. A buddy got a mail from his academic advisor as attached. Kindly assist. This made him miss the May 15th deadline as he was waiting for transcript to reach the school.

Be patient. I paid my tuition through CIBC with my zenith domiciliary card and even though it showed 'processed' my school didn't receive the funds until some days after.

Good morning everyone.
Please everyone should be careful of amaku chidiebere. This is proof of the charge back.

He did same thing to my friend and we have reported the case to do school. Obviously he used a fraudulent document to request for a charge back and the school has already taken up the case. Amaku Chidiebere, I know you can read this…. Your days are numbered in that Canada because just bit the wrong person. Well done Oga!!!
