I just sent you a mail bro

MindfulV:

If I were in your shoes, I will hinge my study purpose on the fact that diversifying the economy through agriculture is a top priority for Nigeria right now. I will go on to state that agricultural lending by commercial banks has remained really low (state the statistics, I think it is about 2%). The reason is largely due to the lack of understanding of agricultural risk by Nigerian bankers. I will then go on to show how increased lending will boost agriculture which will in turn increase the sector’s contribution to GDP, reduce unemployment and ultimately move Nigeria from a monolithic economy to a diversified economy.

Now, the question will be what your personal persuasion is. If you were working in marketing or in the agriculture desk in your bank, it would be easier to establish this. You would probably state that you have worked on some loan requests from some agribusiness customers and you gained so much satisfaction from serving this particular set of customers compared to customers from other sectors. You could also add that that there are certain agribusiness customers you have lost because you were unable to meet their loan requests due to your limited understanding of their business. To wrap it up, you could state that you are interested in pursuing a Masters in Agriculture because your background is agriculture, you work on agriculture-related transactions as a commercial banker and you are therefore interested in further building your competence in this area as it has huge potential in your country.

My two cents.

So my passport has been stamped and received. Then it’s time to secure a seat for my program, PGD Network Security, and UWinnipeg is telling me the program is full and I will be waitlisted or should defer to the next intake. Next intake for my program is February 23. Me that my soul and body is already in Canada like this. Why will I now still wait till almost March next year before moving?? Been racking my head for a solution since, but can’t come up with any. Is it possible to get another program, or even another school for FALL this year, then update IRCC?? Is there still hope for me this year like this?
In a situation whereby the only option left is to defer to Feb 23, can I still travel by August and explain at the port of entry that I already booked my ticket before being notified that the program is full and I had to defer? Then I also prove with the funds I will be taking with me that I don’t intend to work before the resumption day. Please remember that going August is going about 6 months prior to resumption day. Gurus in the house, please reply!

Yes. A friend paid using stanbicIBTC through 3rd party flywire. It lasted a week and nothing happened. She now has to top up the money in the account and she was debited the next day, and the money got to the school same day. So reason for her own delay was that she did put money in the account based on CAD336.65 conversation rate that she was told at the bank, but was charged CAD342.Bleep based on debit. Hope that guides you.

Please how does this 3rd party flywire work. I have seen people complaining about flywire rates, surprisingly it seems flywire payment could also be routed through form A.
Kindly explain how this works.

=Morae post=101887391]Hello guys, I am new on here and this is my first post please be gentle with me smiley. Greetings to all the gurus on here! I have seen the awesome guidelines you give to people which helps greatly in their applications, God will bless you all. I need help with my study permit application and @Frankrobbn1 to kindly vet my application.

Firstly, I have been denied a canadian student visa in 2017 based on travel history and purpose of visit. Then I wasn't aware of nairaland. So this year I decided to try again and I have been offered an admission for Winter 2022 but I am having challenges preparing my study permit documents.

My husband is my sponsor. We plan to pay a year tuition and get a GIC for living expenses. He is presently residing in Germany as a student and would be done with his masters by September. He works with an International Telecom Company here in Nigeria and still gets paid while in Germany, we plan to use his salary account to show proof of income. He also has some stocks he bought in Germany. We don't really know how we will present our case: Can he as a student in Germany sponsor me? And how do we go about it?

Thank you!
Definitely he can sponsor you as you have mentioned he works with a Telecom company, but you don't have only POF to deal with, you have home ties to deal with as your husband is also in Germany
You can send a DM I'd be glad to assist, @a fees though

It means that the main work on your application has started, this is where the visa officer checks your proof of finance and whether the program you applied for is eligible to warrant you a study permit visa. Once this stage is done, the next thing that comes is a decision.

That’s why everyone is always asking if eligibility review has started

Yes
I think one guy, few months back uploaded an English proficiency waiver because he couldn’t write the IELTS at that time, and he still got approval.

If you can’t write IELTS and you can lay your hands on an English proficiency waiver from your former institution, try and get it and upload it. You never can tell with IRCC

It is going to be difficult to convince the point of entry officers that you are going to be in Canada for 6 months prior to the start of your course and you won’t work. Will the money you have be sufficient?
The money you are suppose to use for your hostel and living expenses, you will start spending it in that six month just to survive before your program begins. It will be hard to convince them
How you take reason am too??

It’s a letter from your former institution in Nigeria stating that all your classes/lectures and mode of instruction was rendered in English and you passed all your exams in english.

Just locate the registrar from your former university and tell them you need an English proficiency waiver letter, they will understand. It usually goes for a small fee tho

I hope this is ok

I just found out that I bleeped up. I haven't done my Medicals. My Medicals is coming up on 3rd June. And from the CIC site, it's stated that a complete application must include Biometrics and Medical results. And that's the application they will complete by Aug 6.
Why did CIC not say that we need Medicals immediately? These people are just somehow

It is not advisable

It will subject you to alot of scrutiny at the point of entry and can even result in you getting visitors status depending on the immigration officers mood.

Hold on to about 6 to 8 weeks before your program starts
