can I like ur observations a zillion times? Because I have a personal experience haven imported a Diesel engine to Nigeria to use.. first week lesson learnt forever

Abi. Mine was a fine iveco 130e 18 truck.
Not knowing the E stood for electronic Turbo diesel common rail injection system. similar to what is in that geely. After I filled the tank 2 wice, it packed up. It was on the road for 3 months. I had to order refurbished injectors nozzles for 600 pounds from UK. After 3 full tanks of diesel, those ones packed up.
I finally had to buy a manual injector diesel engine for 550k, with installation I spent about 750!
Nna I finally got got rid of the vehicle after so much stress.
This was 2013.
Crazy life experience.

The price of the coolray is 15.9m Naira. It is turbo driven engine which in the long run will soon start giving us issues. Those marketers have nothing to say about the car. No video of the car doing auto Park, no reputation of the geely cars already being repaired with 5 year warranty or Mikano reputation of their cars being rolled out in the country? How can I be offered free 1 year comprehensive insurance and who will be the beneficiary if anything happens to the car?

A free 1 year comprehensive insurance coverage is usually an addon to a new car purchased in many Asian countries.

And in some cases, you get to choose your preferred insurer from a list of insurance companies.

I actually visited the VI (Adeola Odeku) showroom to make an enquiry, turns out they aren't able to announce prices publicly, as the car hasn't yet launched officially (launch date is slated for the 27th of May). But this presale period is to see how well people respond to the car and an opportunity to give committed buyers the added incentives.

They hinted at the prices though, the Dynamic GS ( base model) will retail for between 13M and 14M, VAT Exclusive and the Sport Plus 9full option) will retail for between 16M and 17M, also VAT exclusive, but the prices are open for some level of negotiation during this presale period. I'm considering the base model as a company car, if a driver will be driving then the extra tech features like 3D model will not be necessary. Different matter if I was buying for personal use where I can enjoy my thing, then I'd go for the higher one. They are also offering payment plans through Access and Stanbic IBTC . Email them or call them, seems they are quite responsive.

Nope, Mikano doesn't "make" the cars. They are in an exclusive partnership with Geely to bring the cars into the Nigerian market.

Some of the cars are assembled in Nigeria though, with a plan to eventually assemble all here. Mikano invested in a big assembly plant from what I was told.

Seems nobody has noticed the downside of this beautiful car.
Did you see the engine has a "TD" written there? That stands for turbo diesel. While TD engines are exceptional in performance, fuel economy etc, they cannot be used in naija. By the time you buy diesel few times on that car, all your injector system will be bleeped.
What we buy here as diesel no be diesel. Even the best quality diesel is adulterated to make more gain.

Nice video and I am very proud of you. But you forgot to tell us how many speed the gear entails. I heard 7 different gears but I was not too sure. Is it tiptronic? is it 7 speed or 6 or 5? What are the safety features on the car? How many airbags, because made in Nigeria cars don't seem to appreciate the airbags. Tell us if I have a choice between a 2016 Range Rover Evoque and the 2021 Geely coolray for same amount of 16m, what will make me choose Geely over the Range? After sales service, how many workshops are being trained to understand and handle the car and where are their parts?
