Which Kaduna citizens is he addressing? Same people you are displacing their family members from work plus no redundancy compensation?

It's so unfortunate that someone with this kind of mindset also aspires to become the president

Strengthen state institution and find different method of generating revenue from each of this institution..instead all they depend on is oil money and borrowed/print more money from CBN...state should partner with some private company with 10%...this governor don't understand economic

let us be true to ourselves. Many states don't need the numbers of workers on its payroll. We can never develop as a country when 85% of some states revenue is used in paying salaries of less than2% of the population. It makes not sense. Many of the civil servants are redundant. In so department you would see 5people doing the work of 1 person. It also like that at the federal where due to tribal sentiments they have loaded it with there people. With technology we don't need bulky civil service. More funds should be made available for stimulating the economy through provision of grants, infrastructure , Agricultural support etc that would help the entire populace. There should be a law that stipulate 65 to 35% in terms in favour of capital to recurrent cost. And that all employment must be shared across all nooks and crannies of a state evenly.
Yeah granted, what they're asking is that if you must throw them out, pay them their entitlements, simple. How would you feel after working for 30 years, someone will just suddenly sack you and refuse to pay you a dime, when you have outstanding benefits in form of gratuity and pension?

Re: El-Rufai Insists On Downsizing Workforce by Makawhizzy: 6:54am On May 23, 2021
Why not look for other options to boost the IGR by shifting those workers into the agric the north boasts of. He can build ranches with milking facilities and employ them there. Run partnership with digital influential northerners not those who are hell bent on open grazing and claiming lives. If cattle business is too much of an investment let him open more farm settlements for cash crops & other expensive daily vegetables that can be moved from north to south via flight in bulk

Always stubborn, Mr know it all, the commissioners and members of the house can't even challenge what El-rufai is doing. They are now puppets.

I knew this meeting was futile. My concern is the citizens who suffer helplessly. From the lockdown period, to insecurity, kidnapping, constant fulani attacks on villages, reckless sacking and intimidations by this govt, demolitions of properties, one-sided development, and so on.

This too shall pass.

Re: El-Rufai Insists On Downsizing Workforce by Nobody: 6:59am On May 23, 2021
Harsh to say this, but many governors may have to cut workers in the coming year.

No matter what you think of El Rufai, the issue remains that the majority of the state's allowance goes on worker salaries, leaving little for development.

Something's got to give.

So he should pay unproductive workers? You are so illogical blinded by hate.
I think it is wrong to pay people for doing nothing. There are rules for compensating redundant workers and he should follow the rules but not keep paying them salaries when they are doing nothing.
Most Poeple on this forum are blocked heads. They really don't know what productivity is.
Don't waste you battery please.

Then tell the governor to create alternatives, how can you employ someone and sack them for no crime committed. Six years is enough to forecast the future of a state if you are serious with governance. Was it not the same elrufai that claimed Kaduna has enough gold reserve more than south Africa? Where is the gold today? Check very well...he might be busy sacking Christians from southern Kaduna and be replacing them with muslims. I don't trust politicians

We need the economy to be good.
Then the government can then reduce the workforce.

Too many people work as civil servants.

In poor country like this.

But economy must be very good first, to give everybody optional jobs.
Re: El-Rufai Insists On Downsizing Workforce by Nobody: 7:08am On May 23, 2021
They always want to reduce the number of workers in their states but they won't cut their salaries, and reduce the number of ministers and convoys they move with.

All Grade 11 above to resign or be retired. Insodoing, space wld open for junior intakes.
1 man's salary, who's at Grade 11 above can pay 20 junior civil servants within Grade 6-Grade 8!
Rufai wants 60% of these seniors go. Open spaces for fresh graduates. Equally lessens amount KDSG spends servicing salaries monthly. Get the drift now? Good idea had communication strategy.

El Rufai no matter what people call him Bigot, sadist, Religious extremist. All I know is El Rufai is one politician who sees what is supposed to be do, he will go ahead and do it no matter what anyone thinks. Most times he doesn't do his work to pacify anyone. He does what is supposed to be done. Downsizing civil service is one of the bitter pill we have to swallow simple

when it comes to government, they can never ever be trusted. When you downsize, the extra money is looted. You might seeing some semblance of infrastructure but when the government steps down you would now see all along they have been looting the money. A case in mind is the removal of subsidy. Please tell me what has the government done to the common man apart from paying salaries and subsidizing petrol?

All grade 11 should be retired? Are they going to pay them early pension? What have their strikes being about if not for KSG owing salary?

Retrenching in batches still make sense than retiring all at once

Re: El-Rufai Insists On Downsizing Workforce by Kubernetes:
The honest truth ;There are about 40% redundant workers in almost every loc gvt council in Nigeria.
Gvt can convert these workers to essential and useful workers by creating and transferring them to income generating ventures in sectors like Agriculture, SMEs etc. Imagine if the Kaduna gvt creates a Bread,Pure water and Agro processing factories etc in each local gvt in kd. Imagine if the state also cultivates at least 50,000 hectares of land in each local gvt and putting these redundant staffs there. The gvts need to start thinking like Business wised, to making income.

When he was FCT Minister demolishing illegal structures front and back, doing what needs to be done everyone including me said same thing about him wicked, evil, no empathy and whatever. Years down the line all of us have one agreement that El Rufai was the most effective FCT Minister so far

Sincerely, I think it's something every state governor and federal government should do. Downsize immediately.

Go into austerity and look for ways private sector should step in and be the main employer of labour.

The problem is the approach he is doing it
