AfriqueDuZuid:Dude, the city centre of Cape Town is overwhelmingly white... Not really interested in the outlying areas (that seem largely mixed-race populations). > |

9jaRealist:When Lekki Phase One and Two were just starting out and prime land was available for building was not properly sectioned and organised. Tourist attractions were not built and most of the land was bought by real estate developers to sell houses at enormous prices. Add to the fact that there is only one main road from Lekki to Epe and other potential access points are blocked by Estate after Estate it doesn't make a good environment for tourism as the residents alone are already choking up the road with traffic. Now the land in Lekki is just houses, small scale business and miscreants opening shops left and right. The government is now trying to compensate for this missed opportunity with that white elephant project called Eko Atlantic. |
