Though I expected one of them there(President or VP).Secondly,at least some southern Govs should have been there too. I think only Gov El-Rufai was there from the north. I knew the Op didn't have more knowledge about security protocols, for a President or Vice President to attend any function out side Presidential Villa, 48 hours Security Clearance must be issue from the Office of National Security Adviser. I think you can make reference President Yar'adua, whether Goodluck Jonathan has attend his funeral or not

What difference will their presence have made, what we should worry about is the aftermath, will the government kick their families out of the residence by next month or will there be provision for their wives and children.

Just to be clear. Jonathan was absent at Yar'adua's burial. General Abdulsalam was absent at Abacha's burial. All these burials all have one thing in common, they happened in less than 24 hours. Too short a time for the DSS to plan their itinerary. Being a President is not child's play. Buhari has been a target for assassination even as far back as 2014 in Kaduna when his convoy was attacked. The risk is higher now than then.
