It is simple, these men were buried immediately according to Islamic tradition and for the President of Nigeria to be at any ceremony, there must have been at least 48hrs security report/update or he sends delegate, which Mr. President did by sending his Minister for defence.

Just listen to yourself, they can't be everywhere but they can be at a wedding shining their teeth to the camera while the nation mourns someone who died on official trip and working to combat the terrorist terrorizing their states...even more worrisome is the 'jollyment' on the face of the governors of Zamfara and Yobe state...two states ravaged by insecurity.

Ask yourself, Will the wedding fail to hold if those governors don't attend on the ground that they decide to mourn a top military chief who lost his life or 'assasinated' in a plane crash?

The President, for reason best known to him, decided who represented him at the event. He delegated the Defence Minister in this case. If he had wanted the VP to represent him there, he would have delegated him to.
In the absence of such delegation, the VP had no business going there ahead of his boss, regardless of whether all other State Governors were there.
