Poverty Is Not The Only Reason For Criminality In Nigeria. by Bashir75: 7:39pm On May 24, 2021 |
Poverty is not the only reason for criminality in Nigeria. They will quickly tell you that Nigeria situations are the reason for growing crime rates. Some Nigerian are inherently criminals and criminality is embedded in their DNA. Until we all agree and come together to solve the problem. Look below the guy who was caught with drugs worth #8billion. He bought the drugs with money he could use for legit business but NO. He had on him $24,500 cash to bribe our border men. Tell me it’s poverty and I will tell you if this is poverty, that poverty will never leave your family. 1 Like 1 Share

My brother I propose the following is a better definition of greed: The desire to take the fruit of other people's labor without having to work for it. With this definition, we can say the Cabal power brokers who use Government to suppress interest rates and bail out their failed corporations are greedy. 1 Like 1 Share |

mrvitalis: “How he started” i beg to disagree with you. What did you mean? He’s the only Nigerian suffering and poor. There’s no poor people in Europe and America. He chose criminality and he will die by the sword. He could choose selling pure water on Lagos roads if he’s so poor or work for Julius berger. Leaders who are stealing our money should be extended same empathy as you suggested because they also live in Nigeria before appointed or elected. Na so we dey justify criminalities until it comes home to your family. Kidnapping, Money ritual , drug peddling and official corruption are crimes against humanity. It kills, maims and destroys societies more than the personal benefits. 1 Like 1 Share |

Bashir75:Don't u think there is a reason why poorer Nations have more crimes ? Everyone is not the same some people are risk takers some are just there like dummy and takes what comes If a risk takers is poor and no legal way to get funds he would the government failed him buy giving him quality education and protection ...crime is naturally the next step And as risk taker they raise to the top of what ever they do ..good or bad |

mrvitalis: This is why our leaders take us for granted and our young people runs after Naira Marley. Our brains have been distorted and we only think with our tongues now. America and European countries are deemed developed but the crimes in these countries are higher than Nigeria. You know why, you do the crime and you do the time= Quick justice. Also, the crimes in these countries are not necessarily due to poverty because there are unlimited opportunities. America is going to war with and building a wall that’s longer than Nigeria border btw Mexico because of drug biz. Similarly in Nigeria, we commit same level of high crimes and we tied to poverty. Nigeria, no matter the situation still abound many opportunities. Drug peddling just like others {corruption, money rituals, kidnapping, murder} are not poverty related crimes. They mostly involved huge amount money and not a crime of Misdemeanors or infraction but felonies. Felonies carry potential imprisonment that ranges from time in prison (a year is often the low end) to life in prison without parole or even death sentence. |

Bashir75:Crimes in America are more on the poorer population for a reason the inequality of the system is responsible I don't even know why u are debating facts Lack of jobs and social infrastructures create criminals Why do u think crime rate is low I'm Norway , Denmark and Finland ? But high in the UK ?do some research man I can make u n your tribe criminals if I have the tools ....so u mean if u have the option to steal.to save your life u won't ? |

Bashir75: The reason for crime are culture of impunityinequality and injustice. Every man has tendencies to do evil. Failure of leadership and bad governance create inequality and injustice. Most people would commit crime and get away with because of impunity. Bad governance is a reason for impunity. |

joyandfaith: In a society/nation, the government is not the sole leader. Your father is a leader in your family and your mom is also a leader. Although, we contributed parts of our rights/sovereignty to government but the families/communities also have contribution to society/nation. Whatever we contribute to society/nation bad or good determines how a nation is judged. Individuals, badly raised children and communities with bad influences are problem to society/nation. That’s why a nation develops laws on how to governed the nation/society because of human tendencies of criminality. Having said that, there’s no perfect nation on earth and no nation with perfect governance. While America has so many good things, there are other no so good parts of America. Criminals are criminals. Greediness is not a factor of poverty, it’s inherently in the DNA of the criminals. |
