there are some players that will never fit in to the manager squad and willock is one if them. Take away willock goals and you will realize that he is that same inconsistent player that can't pass and still lack top stamina in the game.

I mean he took a 7th placed villareal in the LA Liga to win Yorupa.....He's no different from "the rookie" Arteta who took 8th placed Arsenal to win the FA cup last season.

Arteta may not be the best coach to bank on when u want to win or get highly placed in a 38 match league but so is "Good Ebening" . What do you think could have been the problem then? I can remember the season we only have Leicester to compete with yet he fumbled. We were in the title race in a particular season and we only needed a decent striker in the January transfer window yet who did we got? An injured Kim Kalstrom. Wenger was partially at fault.

Infact, if it won't be too extreme, Wenger made the board too comfortable. He practically carried every burden for them.

Their unwillingness to spend might have been due to Wenger been too honest.

You hit the nail on the head with the bold part of your post. Gosh! It irks me to even think about how leno keeps tons and tons of shots out and yet we still lose scandalously most times because he keeps facing barrage of shots.

At a time we don't even know the formation we play as a team. Any match against Loserpool, or man city was sure going to end with Leno making plenty saves and we still end up conceeeding 3 to 5 goals.

A coach that clearly lost his dressing room and can't command the respect of his players ; some people now want to come here and launder his image....Lailai! He was a failure at Arsenal and that's that! No cap!

Everything was frustration overloaded when he was here, from Line up to tactics to his attitude.

Truth is, this recent Arsenal no rate fans at all, infact the have little regard to club culture and love for it.
Emery may not be up to the Pep and Klopp to take your club to the top, but with proper ambitious Owners and players with guts and fire( like we saw in a Villarreal side with no special players as against the bottlers who would disgrace you by losing 4-1 in a cup final), He is good enough to at least patch this yeye club back to Europe either through 4th or Europa.

It is not easy to get rid of bad owners like the Kroenkes and the bad players, but easier with the coach.

I said it that year, no big coach will take this Arsenal job, Allegri rejected it, Ancelloti preferred Everton and Mourinho opted for Tottenham... Klopp and Pep will have their image soil also in this football club, only a youth corper will take the Arsenal job.

I can agree Emery got some things wrong, didn't communicate well, had bad relationship with some players etc but that's not the total package...

My problem with him was sticking and having faith with useless players like Xhaka instead of doing a Conte by stepping down, A Nuno Esperito could have gone to Portugal and get you fresh talents.

Some haven't so forgotten how he finished 5th on 70 points(better than Wenger's last 2 seasons) and was literally 1 win away from from 3rd ( due to many erratic displays from the Xhakas and Mustafis you will hardly see from Villarreal and previous teams he managed) in a season where 1st and 2nd had 99 and 98 points respectively.

Got to the European final and semi final of both domestic cups coupled with a 22games unbeaten all in his first season with a worst squad than we have now..

I mean a manager with previous 3 Europa trophies with orther 7 trophies with PSG in France will never be called a bad manager not worth a job at this present Arsenal.

Going back to an average Villarreal to trump Arsenal and Utd to the 2nd biggest club trophy in Europe and bringing them to the UCL is a clear indicator once again he wasn't the major problem at a club who can't even make euro conference after sacking him.
