I am a Barcelona fan,modric better than iniesta,it's quite debatable,but it could go either way really,inista is usually overrated by most of the cules here.
But that's just about it,I don't think modric or any midfielder of the last 15 years comes close to xavi,i can back my claim up,but I believe any intelligent person should know this.

Despite the numerous short comings of Koeman, if Barcelona fail to tremendously renovate this group of players we currently have, I will say we won't improve much, no matter which coach we have.

About 75% of players in this current squad are playing at a very very low level and I don't think they can give more than that. They are simply players not good enough for the shirt.

If you hadn't included excuses for Koeman, I would have agreed with you all the way about players playing at a very low level.

However, coaching tactics, motivation and on-the-field formation flexibility to counter opponents tactics also have a lot to do with success, not forgetting right substitutions.

How many times have you seen Koeman shouting or signalling instructions to his players from the sidelines?

I still think Koeman can be a massive success at Barcelona. His substitutions may not have worked well because most of the time the players coming in does not have what it takes to improve the team. We have seen lots of team performance collapse after substitutions were made even though it was a like-for-like substitution. Example replacing a right back with another.

And most of other time, we do not have finishers. We generate alot of chances but fail to score them but then concede once the opponent generate their first chance. These are signs of feeble team who need proper re-engineering. These signs have been their since 2017. Weak mentality. It won't vanish over night until we dismiss about 75% of this current squad.

How can you explain that the team collapsed as soon as it was obvious they were likely to win the league? If you see a coaching deficiency, I see the demons of Rome, Liverpool all over again.

Xavi and Iniesta that championed that glorious spanish era...like the national team didn't even need a striker. They won euro 2008 , WC 2010, Euro 2012 consecutively and woulda gone on to win the 2013 confed if not for life...

Good points there. However, if Koeman stays he needs to change his tactics a bit to help motivate his players to play for him.

We cannot have an introvert a runaway soldier as a captain on the field and also have a quiet coach on the sideline, its remedy for disaster.

Like you pointed "weak mentality" out. Psyfhologist could be used to raise players morale before and during games.
