Truthful. The false document called 1999 constitution is a prison that clog the advancement of innovation, research and development. It focuses more on politicking, tribal and spending than technovation.

It's letters are archaic to modern reality. It gives too much food to politics and legal profession. The quota system enshrined in it is a cemetery for raw/harnessing talents.

This constitution was drafted at the tail end of Abdulsalams tenure and handed over to Nwodo the former Minister of information then who was also the former Ohaneze's Presidebt.
He rejected the constitution then because it was written by just few individuals only for the same constitution to be passed down to other institutions in the country and announced immediately Obasanjo was inaugurated.

Let us be guided,we dont need any amendment of this constitution,but a new constitution like the one the Chilean government is about making for her people. An all inclusive constitution is what we need.

I have seen countries develop under various conditions and systems — unitary, federal, quasi-federal, presidential, parliamentary, democratic, dictatorial, homogeneous, heterogeneous, etc — but I am yet to see a country develop under poor leadership. Our objective should be a leadership that is determined to deliver the basic things of life: potable water for the poor, hospitable hospitals for the lowly, good education for underprivileged, regular power supply and motorable roads. Pardon my naivety, but I do not think we need FEDERALISM to end meningitis and cholera in Gusau, or RESTRUCTURING to build roads in Aba, or 1963 constitution to run good primary schools in Ibadan.
