Niger delta Impostors everywhere claiming igbo.

Niger Delta does not exist in the intellectual sense. When River Niger and River Benue formed a confluence in Lokoja, the flow toward southern protectorate is no longer River Niger.

Owerri son into property development. His coy is international, but this is what his Landmark Grp has established in Lagos. Quite impressive....at a point i was wondering if this was actually Lagos, or some place else. shocked

Hope he also considers Owerri for something similar.....or any place else in the east.

I bet you Landmark beach resort, hotel, event place, shopping centre is very massive and the BEST place to visit in Lagos today.
The irony is that this IGBO man will only attract ENVY from the owners of Lagos (Yorubas) instead of praise. I hope this great Igbo son will be wise to remember home by coming to invest bigger in Oguta Lake area which is yearning for serious tourism investment. If he does, Igbos will have no reason to vacation outside Igboland and more jobs will be created and the society stabilised. I know some people will say he will not make as much money in Oguta but it is not all about immediate profit but also community social responsibility (CSR).

They want the Niger delta because Imo and Abia states are also Niger delta in the Nigeria context but if you are referring to the South-south region, they are also right in including them in their Biafra because there are percentages of Igbo populations in all the six states of the region they want them because they want to be in Biafra.

I’ve always posited that Oguta lake is so underrated and under-utilised! I know there’s a holiday resort that opened up around the lake (i think during the Okorocha 2nd term), but that on a much smaller scale than what the lake needs! Something similar in scale and scope to the Lagos Landmark attraction is what Oguta needs!

A world-class hotel by the lake (at least 4-star) should also be part of any resort planned for the area!

Landmark group started by investing in event center in Owerri, and they partnering with kunoch group to develop another mall bigger than owerri mall at Protea hotel area.
You are right about oguta, but that local resort there has tried a lot, currently there the choice holiday resort in imo state now, with an artificial beach.

OMG.......Look at almost Billion Dollar Igbo investment in LAGOS ! and virtually none except the factory looking landmark Event Centre and few lock up shops in Owerri !
Ndigbo Ndigbo Ndigbo Efu go ! We are lost ! Check out Catalonians developing their Barcelona to rival Madrid the capital of Spain. With the problem of hatred against Ndigbo by other tribes, why can't we Ndigbo develop a place in Igboland to rival Lagos and Abuja?

Here they come again. Who mentioned Biafra here ? It is all about Akuruo ulo and the way other tribes see Ndigbo. You cannot be investing in other people's land and they are hating you.

What I meant is that the campaign of investing in igboland should be more loud than Biafra agitations. That way our land can be super lucrative and attract high end FDIs that will raise standard of living of our people, thereby making us more prosperous.

Biafra agitation is unique. It is a thing of the mind. Nigeria is a negation of humanity. Biafra agitation may be a set back at the beginning for FDI but if successful will ginger the fastest development ever seen any where in the world.

The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, has called on Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, to immediately bring the killer(s) of the ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmad Gulak, to justice.

The youths threatened to declare Governor Uzodinma persona non grata in the entire northern soil.

A statement from its National President, Isah Abubakar, noted, “It’s so pathetic and saddened the continuous killing and lawlessness going on in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. The government of Imo State must give an account of those who killed Gulak. The continuous killing of Northern and destruction of security facilities in Imo State will no longer be tolerated.”

The group urged the federal government to rise up to its constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property and act appropriately so as to avoid the current situation from escalating to a civil war.

It explained that the government should take note that it would not allow the killer(s) of Ahmed Gulak to go unpunished, stressing that the Imo State Governor, who is the chief security officer, must bring those involved in the assassination to justice.

According to the statement, “Let us state categorically that northern youths will do everything within their powers to force the government of Imo State to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice. The Imo State Governor and other South East Governors should take note that we shall not accept the continued killing of Northerners and Northern elites in their region as we shall take revenge henceforth.”

It gave the Governor of Imo two weeks to carry out the investigation or they shall declare him persona non grata across the entire Northern soil.

Shit is getting out of hand, when I complained and suggested de-escalation measures, I was called names here.
Now Owerri and imo state at large has become a derided place, business is slowing down. I hope our warriors are super happy and comfortable with it.
I urge guys to fire on let's burn down Owerri to spit the Fulani led FG.

This picture of Douglass road, indicate that without trading on the roadway, there will not traffic gridlock on this road.
The road is wide.
May Imo state prevail
We want peace and tranquility to go about our normal business and oringo lifestyle
This recent happenings, doesn't define who we are, we are peace loving people, that wants no stress.

I am a gun crazy dude who wants Republic of Igbo land instead of Biafra. However, I shall do nothing to impede the agitation of Biafra. If I am the final arbiter on who becomes Biafra, greatest portion of the so-called Niger Delta will be rejected outright.

Which big investment in Imo State is current being championed by a Northerner ?

sanctity454:

There's something called peaceful co-extistence, what he's advocating for is well meaning northerners to come our land and earn a living, there's practically nothing wrong with that.
After all the biggest investment in imo state currently is championed by a northerner.

The refinery with it's eco friendly industrial park is owned by a northerner from Kwara state, while our brother Capt Iheanacho took his to saturated lagos

Ok but its is not the biggest currently. I think Assa North Ohaji South gas projects by Seplat owned by an Igbo man is bigger than that of Waltersmith.

Shells LNG plant is bigger than seplat and cost $3.5 billion, seplat cost $700m. Waltersmith group, aside of it's refinery project which is in phase 2, has IPP project, with an industrial park, if the whole project is combined it's bigger than seplat investment.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by RareDiamonds: 1:11pm On May 31, 2021
This $700m does not include the scope Shell Petroleum Development Company would handle which includes exploration and drilling of several gas wells as well as establishment of a big primary gas treatment facility, base offices and pipelay to convey treated gas to their respective gas processing plants.

Then go make it loud. These threads are full of 'someone should'. Meanwhile it is someone that is typing. Everything ppl are complaining about on here is either a business idea they should pursuit or an initiative they themselves can start.

the loudness of the Biafra agitation using the internet you and I have. So what are you telling us? Who will do it for you?
