I bought a new Iphone,i tried severally to put my Icloud email on it when registering the device without success.Now my phone is locked and i can even access it. please Gurus in the house,is there a way around it. i dont mind using a fresh profile..i tried using the old one because i wanted to retrieve my documents. help me..i am not happy

If you’re sure of the email address , use the forgot password option and enter the required responses.

Can someone use the regular Gmail account as an iPhone Icloud account?

I am asking because, I thought it used to be something@icloud.com but the setup I did with regular Gmail went through.

NB: I am a first time user. Still trying to figure some things out. Also, I have nothing to do with this thread or allegedly (stolen) iPhone being discussed on this thread. Mine is quite different. For posterity purpose, hence the clarification from me.
