As for the bolded. I agree with you cos of the incentive of UCL. But even the competitiveness is relative. A team hustling for champions league and on the verge of securing it through the league or hustling to win the league will definitely field a weaker team in Europa unlike in UCL where everybody takes it serious.

But I disagree with the fact that any coach with an Okay squad will go far. I think you're underestimating the impact of coach in a team. You see that present man city squad, I assure you give Ole or Nuno espirito that squad and they won't win the league or be dominant the way guardiola is.
