Gulak Left His Hotel Room Without Informing Us - Police

The Nigerian police have reacted to the killing of Ahmed Gulak in Imo State by unknown gunmen.


IGBERE TV had reported that the former Aide to Goodluck Jonathan was ambushed and killed while on his way to the airport.


In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by Sp Bala Elkana,
Police Public Relations Officer, said Gulak left his hotel room without informing them.

According to statement, "Ahmed Gulak left his room at Protea Hotel without informing the Police nor sister agencies in view of the fragile security situation in the South East and Imo in particular. He left without any security escorts and while the cab driver took irregular route to the airport, six armed bandits who rode in a Toyota Sienna intercepted, identified and shot at Ahmed Gulak at around Umueze Obiangwu in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area close to the Airport."




"The Commissioner of Police Imo CP Abutu Yaro, fdc has directed a discreet investigation into the matter as Tactical and Special forces have been deployed to cordone the area and arrest perpetrators."

Death was the one that killed him not gunmen. It is clear his time on earth was up

Op, you useless past, read very well before you comment, there is so much insecurity in eastern part of Nigeria, why did he go there without neccessary escourt? My people have burial in imo last week I told them it is not time for jamboree let few people go, I advise whoever is going to east to put it on hold, they have demoralize police and is the worst thing that can happen to any society, remember we are reaping from ENDARS

This is pure assisnation.

The killers could be unknown gunmen, Fulani bandits, DSS, Federal government, Yes you heard me well government can kill a father and the son will be sent to jail.

The only way to unveil those behind Gulak death is to employ independent investigators.
Political assisnation is rare in Imo.

Those who killed Gulak are already spreading rumors without investigation that IPoB killed them.
