The Nigerian police always arrests innocent people and tag them UGM so that people outside the SE won't say the police is indolent or are not doing their Jobs well.

Am happy he's free now reckless arrests like this is one of the reason why commoners are free with the UGM and are scared of the soldiers.

The guy should press for charges and sue the NPF for illegal detention, assault and defamation of character.

He needs a very good lawyer to do so.

The guy should make a live video or something.

We have to be sure.

Trusting the police is a big risk.

If this is true, then the Nigerian police should be sued and prosecuted. This obviously shows the incompetence of our police men and how they have been arresting innocent Nigerians and tag them criminals.

Good police should do proper investigation before arrest.

We need video evidence, because we don't trust all this bloody police

I made the same report here and even created a thread with my second moniker that some detainees that refused to escape were killed by the police tagging them UGM. But you know what, some BMC from the Sahel desert descended on the post calling it fake and were all rejoicing. In a sane country, those guys that refused to run even when they were given the opportunity are supposed to be hailed, pitied and even given clemency. But they got death instead. Believe me, anywhere they are now, they would be regretting it big time. They forgot that Nigeria is a Banana republic where everything goes. It is well sha. But one thing I know for sure is this, all evil Policemen and Soldiers in the East must die terribly and miserably.

That guy must have paid a lot of money to bail himself.

After branding him a criminal without any form of investigation or a care for his rights! The man should sue the police and demand punitive and exemplary damages, a public apology and retraction by the Police as well as the pulling down of all his images published in connection with that criminal parade!

Thank God a public outcry was quickly raised and action taken if not those bloodthirsty, untrained, trigger-happy goats in uniform would have physically maimed or even executed him and branded him an armed robber! Who knows how many innocent, unfortunate persons have been wasted in this manner!

Thank God he was released....there are lot of individuals out there who have been unjustly locked up in prison because they were at the right place at the wrong time. for several years they are paying for they crime they never committed

This is why it is bad to parade a person before they have had their day in court, they may be innocent

Had this guy been shot dead, and a gun placed on his body, gullible Nigerians would have said he was a criminal and he would be too dead to defend his name
