People, I need your advice please.

I applied for the post of ASI with Bachelor Degree but I recently understood what the ID number on my slips mean. I've been given IA-03. I'm sure I didn't make a mistake during registration as I was very thorough. I uploaded every required document including my NYSC Discharge Certificate.

With this knowledge, I proceeded to do my screening on Monday, 31st May at the Zone A Headquarters (Ikeja). My question is What is the fastest way to upgrade if when I'm finally in?

I met one ACR at the headquarters and he advised that I go for my Master's Degree on part-time after getting my permanent appointment (which takes up to 2 years), I should then tender the certificate and request upgrade. Everything takes roughly 5 years.

Please advise on what you think is the fastest way to go by.

Please what about someone that his/her chest measurements doesn't meet the requirements.
My chest is 0.84 and the minimum is 0.87.
But the final officer that took my measurements was telling me how I need to hit the gym before the training that, that's his only advice for me.

Please do I still have any chances

If this actually happens to work God help me what I'll just call myself.

My friend was even saying I should send him my details that he'll pay the 150k for me since I'm doubting it.

I refused the option o.

I just told him on phone and he was like I should send it as text I didn't send.

God help life.

Boss you can't apply for level 08 and get an ID number of IA/03. The mistake should be from you during the application. The service can't just impose a position like that for you when they haven't given you the job yet.

To answer your second question, there's no fastest way to be upgraded asides acquiring the minimum qualifications (which is a Bsc) and experience in service (you must be confirmed). Mind you your present degree certificate won't be accepted for conversion asides the one you acquire while in service (as an officer).

I don't think it's a master's you should get, rather another degree in another field. People I know converted didn't use a master's degree but a bachelor's.

Note: If you have a strong connect you can be upgraded with your present degree certificate but the problem will arise when another CG comes and he is now a "No nonsense man". You may be demoted if it comes to that (Yes cuz overtaking is not allowed) grin
Just follow the right way.
Thank you!

Please I need your advice

Can someone use a professional certificate from ICAN obtained after joining the service for upgrade? Presently I have qualified as a Charttered accountant but I am yet to go for induction, therefore I don't have the certificate with me yet, I will go for induction probably December this year in order to get the certificate, but I have my final result with me, I have plan to tender the result during the screening. Please what do you advise?

Please tender your results,

It's just like graduation and going to service even though your school has not done convocation ceremony.

U made good submission but what I may not agree with you is ur stand that the Service will not accept his BSc. Or MSc. Degree for conversion and upgrading after confirmation. I know a couple of guys that got upgraded with additional certificates they had before joining the Service. The one the Service will not accept is the certificate you obtain while in service and without due approval letter to study. Worthy of note is the fact that it is always difficult and highly competitive to secure such slots. It sometimes will depends on available vacant positions left to be filled after promotion has been done.
God bless us all in the struggle and crown our efforts with Appointment Letters and every other thing will follow thereafter.
