The Federal Government of Nigeria recently suspended the operations of Twitter in Nigeria, one of the worst hit will definitely be business owners who use twitter to grow their offline and online businesses with respect to traffic and sales.

As a business owner, how are you coping business-wise with the recent ban?
What Plan B(s) are you looking forward to?

A country where jobs cannot be created, the useless government is busy taking away people's online hustle. The only thing that buhari and his useless supporters can do is create problems

Banning Twitter in Nigeria is a petty and thoughtless move by the FG. But then, in the first place, Twitter shouldn't have the power to delete a president's tweet (any president whatsoever).
The Nigerian government and Twitter have both equally erred!

I have read on alot of social media platforms. How the pro-buhari guys are all out supporting this decision to ban twitter.
Am not here to banter words with them I just wanna make common sense.

It all started with a tweet from @mbuhari, cautioning peoole from a certain region of the country and reminding them how they were dealt with the first time and how he wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again.
Twitter being a private firm with its rules and regulations decided to take action and delete the tweet.
Our almighty president without thinking decided to saction twitter. but because they dont have any office in Nigeria, he bans them from Nigerian cyberspace.

Now back to the guys supporting this.
1. What will you tell the twitter handlers of the big, medium and small companies in Nigeria who were employed just to either be twitter customer service representative or twitter account manager.
Companies in the banking sectore, oil and gas, telecom, health, name them. These guys woke up today to see that their jobs are at stake just because of our president's ego?

2. The genuine guys who do their major marketing and sales on twitter. Who buy stuff and sell online. Who cannot afford to pay for a physical shop and are making ends meet by using the social media platform.
They are out of jobs or no longer gonnna be able to use twitter to do that. And they have lost their customer base cos of just one man's inability to take correction and admit error.

3. What of the social media influencers. Those who make a living by helping promote or market companies or brands on twitter and are paid or make good money they use in helping their families. Some of these guys have nothing else doing other than affiliate marketing or twitter marketing.
Guess, the companies will be forced to terminate such contracts and plunge these guys back to the ocean of job-seeking . All because we have a president who is infallible and must be right no matter what.

I heard some comparing and saying that
Nnamdi Kanu or whatever that his own tweets weren't deleted. But I ask a question.
Does that decision take away means of livelihood from any nigerian.
He Mr president is the father of the nation, must he take such decision disregarding whose ox is gored?
Why not ignore and delete yoir account or tell Nigeria government and government officials to stop posting any official info or government related information on twitter.

But he instead decided to kill the fly that perched on his scrotum with a sledge hammer.

What will our mother nation tell these young men and women when they get to work on monday and there is a letter on their desk pleading with them to stay at home for now till further notice, that they are redundant. Or if they are merciful enough, the give you a huge pay cut.
Just because our number one father's ego was touched.

I think most people use Instagram for business. Twitter is mainly for fun and information dissemination. Note sure though, I only do Nairaland.

100 percent of my customers are from Twitter.

At an earlier stage of the business, it was on nairaland but with the frequent bans here and there. I shifted to Twitter.
