Hmmn. You sabi.

But it is easier to incorporate a company (X limited) and use it to buy 100 houses and then instead of saying you own 100 houses, you simply say you own 30% of X limited.
Re: EFCC demands Asset Forms Of Banks’ MDs, DMDs, EDs by Nobody:
Idiots. See how these people have uselessed Nigeria. Only the Code of conduct Bureau is mandated to issue assets declaration forms and demand making public assets. And only public officials are to declare their assets. Wetin concern EFCC here now? Or even baking executives?

There's nothing wrong in requesting bank MDs to declare assets in line with extant laws but attaching a 10 year jail term threat as penalty is what I don't understand.

Guys stop being ignorant. Every year all bankers (including drivers) do fill asset declaration forms. Every year it is being sent to CBN and EFCC. Even if a banker is corrupt, asset declaration form is the least of his worries.
Re: EFCC demands Asset Forms Of Banks’ MDs, DMDs, EDs by valentineuwakwe(m): 8:32am On Jun 06, 2021
Let them start asking for real asset forms from our politicians......
Then people will take them serious!

You can't ask private individuals to declare their assets

I have heard so from various sources.
Even Civic towers, all Zenith subsidiaries pay rent to the firm.
Cleaners, Security officers and staff recruitment are outsourced to companies owned by Jim's wife and some topshots.

Your post doesn't apply to banks. Government doesn't want bank chiefs to use depositors funds to buy boats and villas.

When I was working in the bank, my salary then was worth $2,300 equivalent in Naira.

Today that amount is not worth up to $700 any longer.

Nigeria is a shame.

Identify rich and corrupt individuals. Harass them till they get paid a cut from the loot. Non of them is working for the nation anymore. I understand that the junior officers now attack people’s homes in the middle of the night and they now accept Bitcoin settlements from Yahoo boys.

[quote author=dapsoneh post=102426293]Set of fraudster disgusting as bank MDs.. EFCC hasn't been fair on Yahoo boys to be sincere.. How can some guys disguise under the umbrella of bank MDs be swindling the general public of their hard earned money? Now they said telecoms have mandated them to collect N6.98kobo for every transaction made on USSD, the question is hasn't EFCC heard this? Why can't they quinze the telecom and bank MDs on this? This is the highest level of fraud by the conniving bank MDs and the telecommunication companies.
Imagine firstbank that has over 50million customers in naija, assuming only half use their USSD transaction per day, that is 25million x 7 which is equal to 175million per day. What other way to make cool money? And you think banks will remit the whole 175million to the telecoms? They share the fvcking money while the customers suffer.[/quot

You must have woken up from the wrong side of bed this morning for your statement is rubbish!
It also shows that you lack aspirations to be an MD in life!
Do you know what it means to run a successful business in Nigeria- where you are Local government of your own-where you start at zero level,no Govt support, you make your own road, create your water, make your light(generator 24/7) ,pay staff and some dissolutioned lazy State and Federal Officials will come for random tax,as if you are not helping masses to reduce Unemployment?
Just ask Tony Elumelu,Dangote,Adenuga, Otedola how they are keeping above waters?
No tangible reasons for all the Bank MDS to be subjected to this gang up.
How many of the Politicians money have been recovered. What have been the contributions of these politicians to Nigeria , other than chaos and stealing in our Society. That is where accountability should started!
How many of the Security Votes have been spent, yet more crimes, kidnappings, rape etc are growing at alarming rate!

This is normal protocol.

Even Bank staffs declare their assets.

And it is done every year.

The problem is that you thought u know what you don't.

The money is 100% remmited to Telcos.

The alternative plan is that Telcos will charge u for every page u visit on ussd which would be around 4 Naira per page. It took Banks taking on Telcos to get to the point they are right now.

Direct Ur anger to Telcos and stop your stupid calculations.

You have several alternatives. Nobody ask unto use USSD at gun point.

-Use your mobile app
-Go to branch if you don't want to incur any digital charge.
-GO and buy Ur card in the street.
-Go to DSTV office and queue

Unproductive youth comparing bank MDs to yahoo boys.

Not all banks are publicly traded. Certain banks are not listed. E.g. Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank. Yet, they must also comply.

Mind you, MDs of MFBs like LAPO and the rest will also be required to comply. It is not a function of listing, it is a function of the sector in which they operate. The banking sector is heavily regulated.

Thanks for the last sentence.

The minions think banks just wake up and start charging.
They are highly regulated.

The ussd cost was an agreement with CBN and Telcos and I say it again.

THEY ARE REMMITING EVERYTHING 100% TO TELCOS
