Poverty in Yorubaland is artificial caused by the Ißo who suspended the regional system and introduced the unitary system the Fulani have used to steal the wealth and resources of the Yoruba people causing artificial poverty in which parents often feel obligated to sell their children to pimps because their low salary does not allow them to meet the needs of their family.
