You think Nigeria is the President of Gambia? Nigeria is strategic for partnership in Africa for most world powers. West messes up, we move to China and Russia for weapons and trade. China and Russia mess up, we shift to West.

It is all about national interest

Strategic partnership you say?

What do you bring to the table? Oil and gas? Oh! Boko Haram and ISWAP?
You are wobbling badly a a country at the moment and everyone around the world knows except you.. Imagine Chad fighting to safeguard your borders... If these western countries desperately want to blow up this country, they can achieve that result in a year because of your stoopid president who has destroyed the country with his rare type of parochialism and nepotism.

All they need to do is to support the powerful figures pushing for the country's break up, since these forces seem to have wide support within their different bases! Nigerias much vaunted international/regional clout was based on her huge population and her massive Oil and gas deposits. Nothing else! We are technically backwards and not optimally productive, so? Now the population is highly disenchanted because of the actions of a rudderless regime and there are proven alternative energy sources for the west. You are a sitting duck, bro...

You have to realize that your bargaining chips here has been whittled down seriously because of your present predicaments as a country...

I am laughing in Mandarin. You need to take up a course in International Relation, Politics and Diplomacy. Maybe when you do, you will have a better understanding.

For now, all what you typed holds no ground!

So, in your mind, if US is eating gala and gala is making her citizen uncomfortable, US should first consult Nigeria before taking action! That was how you sounded!

FG ban twitter not internet! Are you people promoting twittter or your country?
I guess if you were to be President, that's what you will do! grin You're upgraded Jonathan version 2.0!
What do you know about International politics?

The Internet is a global village, hence, Social media is not just a means of communication but a global system of expression.

Banning such forms of expression doesn't speak well of our information, communication bodies and most especially the government. So I still believe the government was Ill-advised on banning.

The government should have consulted the country where Twitter has its headquarters before banning. But that's what they are just doing now... I wish nairaland can be as big as Twitter one day. Nairaland needs an app

FG shouldn't start overreaching itself with this little unmerited attention they are getting from the rest of the world

My thoughts exactly. We are overplaying our hand And it's obvious those instigating this show of sovereignty are poorly skilled in global politicking

Now, the citizens of ZOOGERIA should understand that the country is not a DEMOCRACY but a TOTALITARIAN form of government. In no distant future, you would be asked to submit you self for DNA TEST before you can engage in any form of transaction in the country. Like I have always maintained, ONE NIGERIA is going to KILL all of you!

Na sooo. That is how to tell them to shut up and mind their businesses.

Where were they when Kashoogi was murdered? They kept quiet like dunces.

Where were they when Trump was denied his freedom of speech by banning him?

Where were they when EU enacted GDPR?

We are a sovereign nation and we will fry Twitter until the brain of Jack is reset.

The worst is that they were all silent when the Donald Trump initially BANNED Tiktok& other Chinese apps just last year because they were considered a threat to their national security. Insisting they either leave or be purchased by a US company.

They couldn't find their tongue for that one. Even till now after Biden won; they're still on pause.

Pained hypocritical neo colonialists cool

Buhari is one hell of a leader!

Like I use to say, the era of dominance over countries by some powers has passed. The play and alliances now wider.
