I noticed that our news don't really make headlines in developed countries so it seems nobody really cares about us that much. So if the Big 4 (US, UK Canada, EU) decide to impose trade sanctions on us over allegations of unchecked human rights abuses, and we can't trade oil and goods for a while, what will happen to us?

It'd probably be a blessing in disguise. We will stop importing their garbage and rely on our own resources. Only problem is CHINA - they will fill the vacuum with their 10th rate merchandise!

Does it even sound possible? Our leaders are centuries away from being sincere, they will drain this country of it's resources with any opportunity they get, I'm talking reality not what is possible

Nigeria is too small for trade sanctions. They just relax some policies for china on condition that they will leave Nigeria .

China will stop lending to Nigeria. China will abandon Nigeria in a second to protect their US trade.

The US can move their embassy out of Nigeria to Ghana. Nigerians will now have to go to Ghana to Apply. Nigerians will match to Aso Rock and beat buhari.

Nnpc is not functioning now because most expatriates maintaining the refineries left the country after US sanction during abacha regime.
