Please, Nigerians, shun religious, tribal and ethnic sentiments and elect people with proven records of delivery. Whether they are from the private or public sector.

We deserve better than having a dull head talking on tv. This man cannot even be a class prefect or even a speaker for a children NGO in a forum meeting.

More power needs to be giving to the LGAs.

And it is the FG that killed governors! They hold back funds until governors will have to visit Abuja and give them kickbacks just to have their own money for proper state functions!

The federal government is capable for the rot in Nigeria. Everything you are currently seeing is a precedence from the top!

The president has no power over governors and how they manage local governments. Buhari is the best thing to happen to local governments as he created financial autonomy for them but governors still found a way to circumvent the law to steal blindly from local governments.

We can not continue this unitary system of government. Simple! This has nothing to do with local government. Nigeria MUST restructure. This one that one man would sit in Abuja and be managing the affairs of a village in Akwa Ibom can not work.

Buhari should be telling us steps he has taken to empower the local governments, to give them autonomy and also devolution of powers to the LGA.

Than telling us local government is killed.

Buhari is literally telling us he is clueless to the problems of the Local Government and you are agreeing.

This is true. You cant blame all the problems on just one man. The local government autonomy was killed by state governments for more power. Lets put hate aside, if you become president tomorrow, how will you be able to fix this.
Nigeria is unfortunate on many levels and governors are the biggest perpetrators of evil and destroying this country.

Also, the president is tied with vested interests because if he decides to start arresting and prosecuting ex governors for stealing or misappropriating LG funds, he will be weakening his party power and ability to win elections in that state.

Nigerian politicians are selfish on a destructive level.

Where did I ever blame him for local govt ..I blame him for poor economy , insecurity and general bad governance which are all under his purview ..When it comes to local govt issues the governors are the culprits there

I see a weak man defeated by a complex criminal political class and is capacity to help is limited to the core people he loves. He is not on an intelligence scale that understands the use of power. The only use of power he knows, is to his beliefs. He will wield dangrous powers to destroy those who threaten his beliefs and his people.

This is a very dangerous position the country, Nigeria has found itself. I think Idiagbon was the correcting code, the neutralizer of the past exploit, without an Idiagbon, there can never be a successful Buhari.
