Buhari is right on this, as much as I hate him, he's very right and correct. OBJ killed LGs, LGs had been killed before Buhari came in 2015, joint allocation killed LGs, that's what I always tell people, LGs are being run by Governors, no LG can get #100m from #300m, they only get what to pay members of staff and other admin recurrent expenditure while the rest is used by Governor. Everybody knew the LGs are dead, the Governors, senators, all knew but don't know what to do cause of self interest at the detriment of the people.
Not a bad one sir.

So what is the job of the President?
It's the job of the national assembly, Senator Dino Melaye want LGs to function during the 8th assembly but Sarakis don't want cause he's also a direct beneficiary of the failed system. The real problem is Senators are ex Governors and ambitious governors.

How is he one of the people that killed it? As for me, it's Governors that killed the LG

More power needs to be giving to the LGAs.
And that can only be done thru a true federalism amd to attain that we need restructuring and they are never ready for that

We will conduct the event and plan a customized certificate for all survivors.
Please note : Women will be awarded double for all the troubles seen home and abroad.

We should go back to first republic style of government..... 6 regions(NE,NW,NC,SW,SE,Midwest/edo + Delta) with the current states becoming provinces. We have way too many LGAs that are nothing but money wasters at this point. With 54 provinces(36 current states + 18 more from 2014 confab report), we can proper decentralize things like policing and town planning to this level

You are so STUPID! I don't normally exchange words on here! If you come out me stupidly again! Then I will have no choice, than to come down to your level and follow u squarely.
Don't you guys read? Do you even know what a local government is? Do you have an understanding as to why local governments were created?
Stop going about showing how SHALLOW u are for likes, that will add nothing to you.
So reasoning objectively makes someone a Buhari asslicker?? MUGU!

You are threatening a faceless personality on social media....what a bizarre! Probably the radiation of the moonlight or sunlight has directly affected your sense of good reasoning...

Lemme put the record straight to you...I am politically and economically inclined than all kinds of your secondary school political analysis or postulation....you are too small to be placed side-by-side with me.

It is obvious that as a pig that is always found in murky water, you are always looking for a clean animal to wrestle with...I will refuse to wrestle with a political and psychological pig

You are one of those that killed the local government adminstrative system. What a country rule by unfortunate people!

The Local Governments were killed by the Governors. Honestly Governors are much more enemies of the people than the President for many reasons:

1. They stifle LGAs and do not allow them to function. LGAs are the closest to the people and responsible for most things such as non-metro roads, waste managements, etc.

2. They want to administer the Judiciary also by not allowing them the autonomy granted by the constitution.

3. They pocket the State Houses of Assembly so they can do whatever they want without the constitutional and democratic checks and balances.

Well said sir. But I still think he can transform the local government adminstrative system through the governors as the executive president.

Truth is most LGAs are just avenues to make money. How many LGA chairmen do anything in their constituencies?

We should not have 1 bad road in Lagos if only the LGA chairmen are doing their job.
Until the State Governor funds a road repair, it will never be fixed.

Truth is the problem of Nigeria is from the top all the way to the bottom.

What do you agree?

Buhari should be telling us steps he has taken to empower the local governments, to give them autonomy and also devolution of powers to the LGA.

Than telling us local government is killed.

Buhari is literally telling us he is clueless to the problems of the Local Government and you are agreeing.
You are asking what Buhari has done for LG autonomy?

It is like you just came back from Panya...
