Why should that be a surprise? She is not the only non Yoruba that is prominent in Yoruba movies as it happens.

Yorubaland is littered with Ibo people that are only Ibo in ancestry and unless they tell you their name, you wouldn't think they were anything else but Yoruba.

When I was studying in a university that isn't in Yorubaland, all the Lagos boys hung around each other regularly speaking in Yoruba regardless of tribe.

Back to the main topic, Nkechi is an attention seeker and her input to this matter is unnecessary.
