Single chain driving cam and crankshaft which are prone to stretching, camshaft sprocket are prone to stripping their teeth, cam lobes are known to fail, supercharger are known to give up, oil leaks. Once the chain snaps, its a good bye kiss to that engine.

From personal experience I noticed every Benz mechanic workshop I visited the mechanic is always busy changing Benz engine. It got me thinking 800k no be small money o especially if you are a salary earner.
Well my advise is If you get the money for the pricey repairs and fixes you can go for it otherwise run four forty. A better option is 2010 Lexus rx350 though more expensive

C400 is what we always recommend here but it's usually a bit more expensive than the C300.

You can consider a 2014 E350. That's what I'd buy.

I see alot of the C300 around and I keep wondering if they are having issues to deal with, I've also seen a number that had engines changed.

I will prefer a C as the E is larger, a compact luxury will be better for me at the moment

That 2.0T is a bit crappy, especially during the first years of of production.

I feel I've given the recommendation I can. If you don't need rear doors, a 2014+ E Coupe is a good alternative.

because they don't go bad or need changing often so that's not a huge concern. I can count on one hand how many we've seen that went bad in 10 years.
