Hello Zodiacwarrior, UnknownCanadian, JustMellow and anyone familiar with GIC,

Can I fund my GIC through Form A?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by fejiromich: 2:49pm On Jun 13, 2021
I don’t think so... you have to make a funds transfer from your dorm account to your gic account... the dorm acc has to be in your name

I am a February 19 applicant and nothing yet. You can be hopeful though if you took the NSE route.

I greet you bro!

Are you saying that so long as the applicant has been approved whether the change of DLI was done inside or outside, a new study permit will have to be applied for.?

Confirm this information whenever you're available on here.

It will end in praise

Bro!

It is the new rule causing panic amongst international students. If any international student changes DLI from within Canada, IRCC should be notified and a new SP must be submitted.

But, if it is a program change, IRCC doesn't need to be notified as the update will be done through the GcKey account only. This rule was announced sometime around February 23, 2021, and affected in March. Also, on June 9, IRCC did some major updates on its policy and procedures of its visa categories including SP.

The only exemption is program deferment or program (or campus) change with the same DLI.

It is relatively still new, so almost all international students are only observing and researching for now.

Cheers!

Please I would like to know if F shows on my transcript even though I've cleared the course, then can the 'F' deny my admission into Canadian university for my master's degree

Hello Otclare,

This should not be a bother. Academics understand that the universe was created to have up(s) and down(s).

Focus on your Application Assay. For the failed course, tell them a very brief and interesting story about how you struggled and how you overcame to graduating with a distinction...

Thereon, use the attention receive to tell the graduate committee about what you learnt from your past academic weakness, and how the now possessed strength will impact the department and/or DLI.

n.b. this should not be more than 2 – 3 sentences.

Best of Luck

Thanks for your response Mr JustMellow and thanks for clearing my doubts, I was a bit worried for uploading half of my property document and the other half as a webform. I uploaded only the relevant documents that’s why it’s 126 pages. (Surveys, CofOs, Purchase Receipts, Transfer of Ownership Documents, Building Plans, Structural plans and Stamp Duties).

Hello Lightswitch007,

It is still much. Two or three of those documents will be fine. Try to trim it down.

Best of Luck

Hello Everyone

Please I have a question that requires an urgent clarification.

My wife newly received a study visa approval, and myself and the children wish to travel to Canada as soon as possible. In fact, we plan to put in the application by next week. She is still in Nigeria and planning to travel in August for the fall intake. I plan to apply for SOWP, while the children will apply for study visas.

Meanwhile, in filling the family information form, she had indicated that no family member would accompany her to Canada. She had stated thus in order to use me and the children as home ties.

Now the question is: if the rest family members now apply to join her in Canada, would IRCC not consider this as amounting to misrepresentation? Could IRCC use the information in her family information form against us?

Do we have people here who had stated similar thing in their family information form, yet still got SOWP for the spouse and study visas for children?

Please do help a family!

Many thanks in anticipation.

Please for someone that applied for Temporary resident visa but withdrawn his/her application is YES right?

Frankrobbn1:

Please be advised that having an active Express Entry profile without an ITA does not in any way indicate that you've applied to enter or remain in Canada. The answer to this question should be NO, i.e if you've not applied for study permit/visitor's visa before.

Landed property documents are often bulky in nature. If you're unable to compress it to suit into the "Proof of Means of Financial Support", you can move it to the "Client Information" column. Other documents that has to do with finance like CAC, taxes, bank statement should merged and uploaded in the "Proof of Means of Financial Support".

For more information on how to arrange your documents into different segments, please check my post on this thread in 2018:

My Oga! I greet you, Are you sure of this? 3.0 for Master of Science in Canada? Do you meant to say MA - Master of Art?, MBA - Master of Business Administration?

I know most MSc programs in Canada are thesis based and would require a supervisor's consent prior to be considered for admission.

With such grade (3.0), the applicant should opt for MA, MBA or PGD.

Good evening House.

My application refused for the second time for the following reasons:

I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions in the documents you have submitted in support of your application, as required by subsection 16(1) of the IRPA.

Specifically, I am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: Your answer to Question 2b) on your IMM1294 application form.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

The first rejection was based on course of study not being reasonable with my current profession and academic qualifications, level of establishment, IELTS, Prospect.

Our amiable gurus in the house, what do you advice, should I reapply even though my IELTS expired in April 2021?.

More also, what are the likely implications if I choose to replace my sponsor with another, a cousin, previously my in-law, because my statement of personal finance and asset was flagged in the second application when I had about N6m in it which wasn’t in the first and can’t explain why.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hello Whale2018,

If possible, share the generic letter. Did you get the PF letter? Consider requesting your notes.

Speaking of the sponsor, is your cousin ready to show commitment or just promissory?! A commitment will give more weight to your application.

There is no harm changing a sponsor. A more closer family member like parent or sibling helps your situation more.

Did the 6m come in as a lump sum, did you make any payment for your study, and what type of account did your sponsor use for the intent?

Best of Luck
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by elenewton1: 4:56pm On Jun 13, 2021
To the best of my knowledge, this would not serve as misrepresentation owing to the fact that family situation may change over time. Moreover, Canada is intentional about uniting immediate families.

Pls house, I need ur kind advise.
I intend to apply for a student visa this month of June, but I had challenges getting a sponsor so I used a friend's NGO as my sponsor, in which they HV paid my tuition deposit of 1,400Cads and intend paying for my accommodation as stated in the SOP, but I still feel uneasy as I prefer using my mum but she doesn't have a passport and she is a building contractor with CAC certificate. Though business isn't booming as expected. What if I look for money and put in her account?
Hw will she be of help.
Pls I need ur responses my Gurus.
Pls don't mind my grammatical errors.
Thanks.
@Frankrobbn1
@JustMellow

Hello Johanneiyoha,

If you are opting to use an organizational sponsorship, it will be wise and advised that the tuition for the program year or length and living expenses be liquidated to you. Anything short of this will not be as effective as using an individual sponsorship, preferably close family sponsorship.

Paying only C$ 1,400 is not a justifiable ground for demonstration that the funds is readily available to offset the full study cost.

You mom do not need a passport to sponsor you. As along as she is gainfully employed and earning with some savings and/or incoming (lump) sums that is explainable with substantial evidence for her source of income, she stands to be a suitable sponsor than the organization.

Best of Luck

Good morning everyone, please I am a newbie here and have some questions to ask
1) please I currently have an Express Entry account. However, I am also applying for a study permit. The section in IMM1924E form that ask the question "Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada" Should it be YES or NO.

2) Should information on property such as deed of assigment for a land be under the proof of financial support section or should be included in client information. A bit confused on where to include certain documents like CAC certificate and Letter of Reference from a previous employer. Please gurus in the house, your response will be really appreciated. Thank you

Hello Ireneayeni,

If you are not post-ITA (submitted) or AOR, answer "no." On the flip side, answer "yes."

On the section to upload, you can choose either, or the client information placeholder which is most popular for such purpose.

Best of Luck
